snow storm of 1982

I remember that snow storm very well, as the night before they had predicted only flurries. The next morning when I got up for work, I could not get my front door open due to the snow drifts up against it. My vehicles in the driveway would covered in hugh 2 to 4 foot drifts. All of Wood River was shut down, nobody could go anywhere unless with a 4 wheel drive. I got to work in town only after spending an hour digging out.

I am a full time firefighter/paramedic, been living in Wood River since 1978. I love to watch fox 2 every morning. I grew up in Alton, graduated from Alton High in 1974, got a job at a car parts place, worked there for 11 years before getting on the fire department in 1986 as a paid on call, went full time in 1990. I love to fish, hunt, play golf and spend time at my future retirement home I bought last year in Mount Olive on Lake KaHo.
