Glad you enjoy them, Jeanette!

(this is a work in progress!!) I am going to organize the recipes all into categories, and make an online cookbook that is for **all of us** here at the Fox 2 Blogs. That way, anyone who wants to participate can post as many recipes as they want, and anyone who needs a recipe will probably find it here, and I would never ever delete these, they will always be here as long as this site is here. I want to make it a cookbook for all of us.

NOTE: This is really good, and it goes quick!! It does taste like a Honeybun, but better!

Honey Bun Cake

1 pkg yellow cake mix
1/4 c milk
2 sticks (1 c.) butter, softened
4 eggs
1 8oz container sour cream
1/3 c packed brown sugar
1/3 c chopped pecans
2 t cinnamon
1 c powdered sugar
1 T milk
1 t vanilla

Heat oven to 350. Grease bottom of a 13x9 pan. Remove 1/2 c. dry cake mix. Reserve. In large bowl, beat remaining dry cake mix, 1/4 c milk, the butter, eggs, and sour cream on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Spread half the batter in pan. Stir together reserved dry cake mix, brown sugar, pecans, and cinnamon; sprinkle over batter in pan. Carefully spread remaining batter evenly over pecan mixture. (To make spreading easier, drop batter by dollops over pecan mixture, then spread.)

Bake 40-45 minutes, or until deep golden brown and cake springs back when touched lightly in center. Stir powdered sugar, 1 T milk, and the vanilla until thin enough to drizzle, stirring in additional milk, 1t. at a time, if necessary. Poke top of warm cake several times with a fork; spread over top of cake. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Store covered.

Basic Pie Crust
Yield: Four 8" to 9" crusts

4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
2 teaspoons salt
1 ¾ cups vegetable shortening (no substitutes)
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 egg
½ cup ice water

Put flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add the shortening and cut it in until the mixture is crumbly and there are no big lumps of fat.

In a small bowl, use a fork to combine the vinegar, egg and ice water. Add vinegar mixture to the flour mixture and stir with a fork until all ingredients are just moistened and the dough comes together in a ball.

Divide the dough into fourths, each of which will make 1 crust. Put dough you will use now in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill, and freeze the rest.

Cherry Cheesecake Trifle

2 cans cherry pie filling

1 pkg no bake cheesecake mix (packet of filling mix and graham cracker crumbs included, set graham cracker crumbs aside)
1 pkg cheesecake flavored pudding mix
3 cups whole milk

1 cooked angel food cake (or a white cake would work), cut into 1 inch cubes

Mix together cheesecake filling mix, cheesecake pudding mix, and 3 cups whole milk in a bowl, stir together with a fork until mixed and set and lumps are gone.

In a large bowl, cover the bottom of the bowl with a layer of graham cracker crumbs. On top of this, put a layer of angel food cake cubes. Spoon a layer of cheesecake pudding/filling mixture over the top of the angel food cake cubes. Spoon a layer of cherry pie filling over the top of the cheesecake pudding/filling layer. Repeat layers. Sprinkle the remaining graham cracker crumbs over the top when you are done.

I make mine in a big Tupperware bowl with a lid but this would be pretty in a glass punchbowl.
