Ron and I went to St. Louis Friday afternoon to pick up my grandchildren. Anyae, is 7years old, and Anthony is 7 years. On the way home, Ron decided to stop at the store to get some porksteaks to put on the grill, along with mushrooms, green peppers, and onions. We also had mac and cheese with some corn.
After we all ate, we sat at the puter to play games for a while. When Saturday rolled around, we all got in the truck and headed out to some yard sales. We found some clothing items for the kids, but nothing for us.
OH WELL. Once we were done, I had to come home and get ready for work. Yea, I had to work from 11 to 4. I was hoping Ron was still alive when it was time for me to come home. Ron took the kids out to the lake to see if they could find some geese. No geese there, so he took them past the buffalo some guy has, and of course, the buffalo were too far out for them to see them. Then they came home for a while, then headed back out. They ended up seeing one deer that some guy Ron knows, has in a pen. They stopped to look at it, and went back to lake to see if the geese showed up. No geese again, so they headed back to town and went to the park to play on the swingsets.
Finally around 4pm, they stopped by Casey's to pick me up from work. Boy, was I ever wore out and frustrated. Nothing went right for me today.
Well, I took it easy for a little while, and fixed the left overs from Friday nite. Then we decided to go out and see if we could spot some deer in the country. Well, before we did that, we stopped by my bosses house to visit a few. By the time we got out of there, it was starting to get dark, and it is difficult to see the deer when its twilight.
We came home and Jeanette wanted to play a game, so I sat and played for a while. That was somewhat relaxing.
Got up this morning, and Ron had started the biscuits and gravy we are to have for breakfast today. After that, we are to go to the local orchard's Fall Fest they are having. They are suppose to have pony rides, mazes and you pick pumpkins. We are gonna get one pumpkin for each of the kids. We did make it to the orchard, got us some apples, the kids some pumpkin juice, and they were also able to ride the ponies.
We left there, and was heading to Litchfield, and Ron asked me if I would rather take the kids down to Grafton to ride the Ferry across the river. I said heck yea, that would be much funner. (BOY, was I wrong). We get about a mile from Grafton, and there is a traffic jam. Must have been something going on cause there were so many bicyclists out. Well, we made it to the Ferry, and there were tons of cars waiting to get across. It took us at least 45 minutes for our turn. Once we got to the other side, we were hoping to get to the Missouri side so we can get the kids home. Well, we drove and drove and decided to turn around and finally found another Ferry to take us across another river. Once we got there, we were in St.Charles MO. We headed on down the road and finally got to Anyae's house. Well, guess what, her mom wasn't home. There was a note on the door that said she was at the library. We go to the library, and she is not there. Boy, is my blood boiling now. My daughter calls and says, mom, I am in north county, can you wait a half hour or so til I get home. I said NO way. You are suppose to be at home waiting for her. So, I call Anthony's mom's house, guess what, she aint home either. BOY, I think I am about to explode with all this hot blood in me. So, I call my son, and told him of our situation, he says, bring them here, I will take care of them til their moms show up. THANK YOU JASON.
We dropped them off, and headed home. I think I will crash til NEXT YEAR.
