John McCain has a very good chance to win the presidency...if you believe in miracles.

That's so because it will literally take a miracle for the 71-year-old nasally voiced candidate to win.  McCain's best strategy?  Try not to disappear from the media spotlight, and pray, pray, pray...for Divine Intervention...

Golden Lad, the Blessed One, the Master Craftsman of Politics -- whatever you want to call him -- Barry Obama has already proved himself, despite a glaring lack of experience, to be a master of the art of campaigning.  He's already knocked off the heavily favored Hillary Clinton, with a political pedigree much greater than that of John McCain.

Bringing out retired General Wesley Clark to denigrate McCain's qualifications for chief executive based upon his Vietnam War prisoner experiences was a master stroke.  Not only does the general have a point, but who can argue with a general?

Meanwhile, the media by and large -- with MSNBC/NBC the worst offender, literally laughing at the Republicans on the air -- continues to do its part, virtually ignoring McCain for large swaths of time, while trumpeting Obama's every move.  McCain faces the same problem Bob Dole did in '96 -- a total lack of glamorosity.  Even George Bush has some charisma, but McCain really has none.

McCain himself was at one time something of a media darling, back in the day when he was portrayed as a Republican maverick opposing the party's more conservative thrusts.  But no more.  With the arrival of His Blessedness Barry, McCain will continue to have to really struggle for equal time.

And in fact, many Americans seem to be saying now, with the gas/oil crisis, an unpopular war and president, why not give the Blessed One a chance?

Could somebody out there, in the name of mercy, throw the Republicans a life preserver?    The Grand Old Party could become just the 'old' party....as in, 'no more.'

The campaign hasn't even started yet. People like BO are sometimes a little too slick and make glaring mistakes. When voters find out what he really stands for he won't poll so well.

Mr. Don't Ask Me Any Tough Questions Obama will have to debate McCain sometime. Hopefully McCain will quit playing Mr. Nice Guy. I can't see it happening though if CNN, MSNBC, NBC, or CBS controls the debates. It could happen if Obama would quit playing games and have the townhall debates letting people from both sides of the plate ask the questions.

In his book Obama claims he loves Town Hall meetings...now he's avoiding them...and all of a sudden he's a 'born-again Moderate'...after far left agenda...makes you wonder...

Sorry but you a very wishful typer. The two parties will always be around and my party like yours will be a thorn in butt. Someday a third party could emerge and be powerful enough to win and make changes. I hope it is a more conservative third party that comes first or third. No Republican had a chance just months ago but thanks to the stupidity of the LIBERALS there is a chance like you typed.

The last time I checked I was not a Priest or a Pastor and the Church was not paying my bills. So what if he is getting labled as the Blessed One. He is full of $hi+!! And I am a Democrat. McCain has got a good chance at this one. So he is not KISS on stage with all of the fireworks. But, he still has a few realistic answers to the problems we are facing. I hope they go at it in a debate so they would stop P---- Footing around! Let the real game begin!!

I wish we could just vote for who we did in the primaries even if they dropped out. That would make it interesting!!!

You can thank your mainstream media for the candidates we have not the parties. McCain and Obama are the White and black media darlings.
