I was a sub driver for this didtrict for 4 years, so I know the roads are very windy and curvy, but these drivers are professionals, they  have won many awards for their driving abilities.Every month there are safety meetings that these drivers are required to attend and their main concern is for the safety of thier passengers.The only safety changes that I would like to see in every district is to have monitors on every bus to help "babysit" the students. The drivers job is to drive.  It is very hard to look  up in your mirror and watch the students when your trying to drive on these windy of roads with  3 or 4 kids let alone 60 or more. It surewould make me feel safer as a parent knowing the drivers full attention is on the road and not driving and "babysitting".
