The Mayor down there says this one is the storm of the year.

God must be hearing all of our prayers...Has the storm weakend? I just got home and like asmerelda, I haven't turned on the tv yet.

Me too...Isn't prayer great? It is the one thing that we can do for others when we are so far away!

It is showing signs of strenthening again. It has a lot of warm water to go over still. Even at cat 3 it will do major damage. 115 mph winds and 28.2 inches on the barometer, 20 foot storm surge, New Orleans will be under water once again.

I have a Senior boy in high school and his best friend has spent $400 on bracelets to sell to help with Gustav. She is hoping to get a huge support to donate to the red cross.

We all know it will be another terrible storm and here in the Great Mid West is donating towards the cause.

I know many are still suffering from our floods earlier this year but I know hearts are wide open. Rosie, I am ready for a wine tasing weekend dog gone it!

That place is hurricane heaven! They shouldn't be there at all.

Are we to cancel everything and spring into action and pour our tax dollars into that money pit every time there is the threat of a hurricane? And what about earthquakes and tornados and blizzards.

The RNC was cancelled for rediculous reasons.

The news media blows everything out of proportion! It's a shame that the media is running our country instead of our government.

If there is a mandatory evacuation, why are the media still there?????
