Winter temperatures will be slightly below normal, on average, in the north and above normal in the south. Expect record cold in the first half of December, with other cold periods in early and mid-January and mid-February. Snowfall will be below normal in the north and above normal in the south, with the snowiest periods in early December, early January, early February, and early March.

April and May will be warmer and drier than normal, with the season's first hot spell in early to mid-May.

Summer will be warmer and drier than normal, on average, despite a relatively cool August. The hottest periods will be in early June, much of July, and mid- to late August.

September and October will have below-normal rainfall and near-normal temperatures.

This weather is pefect to me.
I also read in the wife tale's in the almanac that for everyday of fog in August there will be snow in December. So man we have had fog just about everyday this month so watch out Decemember.

theres always a ton of fog in august early in the morning..lol... every year... we used to go trot linnin almost every sat and sunday in august and it was always so foggy on the river that my hair was wet when we got off from checking the lines.

Rosie I don't remember it being this foggy everyday.
I haven't seen a wooly worm yet. What is it if they are fat it will be a bad winter?

I never hold much store in the Farmer's Almanac.
It's been foggy here alot too.
I've seen one wooly worm, and he was coal black.
I've loved this summer. I think the weather is perfect. I hate that usual hot steamy crap. I do love fall too. It just never seems to last long enoough.

It's usually not foggy in August Rosie, unless you're by the RIVER, then it can be foggy every morning. We're not talking about river valleys, we're talking about everywhere else.

well hermann is on the river, and the cool nites and warm days make it foggy, so its foggy here every august, so i wouldnt know what its like anywhere where there isent a river i guess...


and yeah im barefooted all the time in the house so i will be barefooted in dec payne, and that ceramic tile gets really cold when ya got the thermostat on 6o..

i'm a hairstylist from hermann,mo i have 2 boys 31 and 24, two grand children and i watch fox 2 sometimes 3 times a day. i love, love, love summer and i am going into hybernation now... i cant believe the summer is gone, again
