Rosie, I wouldn't call it an addiction but when I can't find something I'm looking for, I usually go to ebay. Usually wind up saving money too.

Not like I am to QVC/HSN/SNBC! Wouldn't know where to begin to sell or purchase anything on EBAY.

rosie, I've bought several things on ebay, but I can't say that I'm addicted to it. I will say that for the most part I've been pleased with my purchases, but there were a couple of things. . .you just have to be careful who you buy from, is all I have to say.

I dabble at buying and selling. I used to be an addict, but not anymore. Just spent too much money so I kicked the habit! lol

I would recommend caution with your identity on Ebay. Because my identity has been messed with twice, it is a good lesson learned for everyone. Do not give out home addresses, and if you attend any Ebay events, do not attend them if the time and place information is not in a sealed envelope.

Many people have great experiences on Ebay, however, purchasing often goes better than selling for many people. Only because people don't like to bid unless it is like a 99 cent starting bid, and the costs of the products sold are often never reached in the bidding process. The seller is often robbed of the value of the product, and many bidders are cheated because products are counterfeit.

I would use it for hobbies or as a garage sale, I would never establish a business doing it. There are people who succeed in it, but I often wonder if they are telling the truth.

Bottom line, try it for yourself, you are the only one who knows what is best for you.

If you look at the number of items that never get bids, you will understand also. Ultimately, educate yourself on it first and don't allow people to take advantage of you.

Some people bid only to harrass others. It is even written into the information on Ebay they provide. They ask if you received a bid as a harrassment.

Most people in the world are good people at heart and for real. Many are not.
Thanks and good luck.

Lastly, I often wonder if what they are REALLY selling is legal. I can't say exactly what that might be, or what sacrifices you might make if you don't use security precautions, but just be careful. Especially if it is your children using it.

It seems that a lot of their rules are changing, and I guess they do keep a watch on what is going on, but I'm not sure I like the changes. I think there are other auction sites as well. We do have a choice. : )

Thanks.
