im really sorry to hear that shawn lindsey is leaving fox2, but i'm glad shes going to her family in texas, and getting married, yeahhh, keep in touch shawn, your are a great reporter and i always love hearing your reports, must be that cheery, bubbly personality, i will miss ya girl...have a good life


Shawn Lindsey joined FOX 2 as an anchor/reporter in April 2006. She reports live for the FOX 2 morning news during the week, files reports for FOX 2 News at 5, and anchors FOX 2 News Saturday and Sunday morning. Shawn is an award-winning journalist with more than 10 years experience in the broadcast industry. Prior to joining FOX 2, Shawn spent more than 5 years as the primary co-anchor at KJTV FOX 34 in Lubbock, Texas. Shawn began her tenure in West Texas as a sports anchor and reporter. She became primary news anchor and health reporter in August 2001. Shawn won Texas Associated Press awards in the category of "Best Anchor" in 2004 and 2005, and was honored with a Texas Media Award for her health reporting in 2005. Shawn launched her on-air career at an early age, reporting and anchoring for Channel One News in Los Angeles in 1996. Channel One News is a 12-minute news program broadcast to more than 12 million high school and middle school students nationwide. During her time at Channel One, Shawn traveled the country reporting on events such as the ValuJet plane crash in the Everglades. Lindsey also freelanced as a stage manager/sideline assistant for ABC Sports network for several years, which allowed her to work a number of exciting sporting events including the Indy 500, PGA, and even the St. Louis Rams Super Bowl win in 2000! Shawn grew up water skiing and “tubing” the rivers in the Central Texas town of New Braunfels, and graduated with honors from Texas A&M University (Gig 'Em!). She is excited to make her home in St. Louis, a city she has frequented over the years, visiting friends and family. In her spare time, Shawn (an admitted football fanatic) cheers on all of the St. Louis professional sports teams, and enjoys traveling to new places. She also has a beloved Boston Terrier named Fenway (yes, after Fenway Park, the dog is a BOSTON afterall). Shawn says she’ll consider naming her next dog “Busch”, “Edward Jones”, or “Savvis”, she won’t, however, get used to Provel on her pizza anytime soon.
