Rosie didn't you bring that one over on the Mayflower.....????????

I remember when the microwave first came out in the late late 60's and nobody really used them........ 40years later and we can't do without them.......

Rosie we bought our microwave in 1977, High priced then. I have 2 little white one's in the shed's, but hate to change. Mine is only used to heat stuff up now.Not to do any real cookin' like we use it for for many year's.I got so sick of meat loaf. Truman loved it for meat loaf on the weekend's when I was working.
Mine has a knob to turn for the time. I don't like the digital or what ever you call it. But this one will die one of these day's and I will have to change.

think this one did come on the mayflower, the first one i had blew up when i was making fudge and the house filled with whie smoke that lingered for days... this ol man that came in the bar noticed it on the back of my husbands truck and ask if he could have it, we said yeah, pleased take it... he fixed it, and used it for years, the microwave out lived him, it was still working when he died... he could fix anything, and he lived like a hermit but he acually had quit abit of money we found out after he died.

Rosie, my first one looked like that. It died years ago tho. I'm on my 3rd or 4th one. The one I have now is the kind that goes above the stove and has the range hood built into it. Love it.

yes i think it is vintage. i bought my first one right after my son was born. i warmed up his bottles in it even though they say not to. it was very expensive at the time. i only use mine now to warm up stuff and to defrost. does anyone really cook in those things?
