With all the rain its only a matter of days, weeks before these little buggers come out and haunt us. So, here is a tip.
There are 5 plants that I know of that help keep mosquito's away:
1. Citronella grass is, of course, where companies get the citronella oil. Stop buying those candles and just plant the grass in areas of your flower bed
2. Catnip is an herb that is most commonly used to stuff in toys or feed to cats for their enjoyment. It actually does help all though your kittykat and friends maybe be partying alot.
3. Rosemary while they are attractive plants that both repel mosquitoes and can add interest to your cooking
4. Marigold have a particular smell that many insects and humans find
objectionable. They are a good plant for repelling mosquitoes as well
as insects that can attack vegetable plants and aphids.
5. Mosquito Plant I have never planted these in my garden but this what I have researched on this plant. Simply crush the leaves or flowers to release the oils and put them in
a quantity of alcohol or vodka. Once the mosquito repellent oils have
infused the liquid, you can use it just as you would one of the more
harmful chemical repellents.

Well, my fav cousin popped over last night and we all just had a great time discussing the snow on March 6. But , after hearing the one story I had to post this.
He was explaining or trying to explain where his GF lives in MO. Come on cous, look who you are talking too. They got a kick watching her neighbors have a Snow Measuring War. Meaning these neighbors were all over their yard trying to find out who had to most snow. HA! Then if they found a good stop you would hear, HA I got more than you I have 11 inches over here.
Hats off 2 you neighbors for giving people entertainment and a great conversation piece.
Now this is creative

Despite all the strife that has been going on in Iraq they recieved a miracle that has not happened in decades. Yes, it snowed. Finally got to see pictures of them having fun, feeling alive, spiritual, happiness. Its great how a little bit of nature and a spark can make a difference in people.
My bro lives in Fort Myers, Flo and he just left the dock and around the corner past bird BOOGEDY island so they call it. This tornado hit the area we stayed at in June, well, not exactly hit it but in the area. The shop off the peir the lady that owns it was stuck in it, his girlfriend Lori was stuck in, and all my brother could do was send me this pic.

All though they can be one of the biggest deadliest destruction zones that Mother Nature can bestow onto us. However, sometimes the treasures that are found can be fulfilling. During the after duty cleanup 3 18th century cannons were spotted protraying from the sand. I think its pretty cool they are going to place them back into the salty water from further erosion. Bonus, for the suba divers! Hear that Jill! You got yourself a new spot to go scuba diving my friend.
