I thought it was a joke when I heard about it. Let me preface with this disclaimer: I have nothing against Christians, some of my best friends are Christians, I was raised Christian. Christian Family Day at Busch Stadium, isn't that a little exclusive? Would they sponsor a atheist, pagan or anarchist day at the ballpark, much less a Muslim, Jewish or Hindu Day. Why do people feel the need to promote their personal faith commercially? I hold sacred the belief in separation of church and stadium. Who will throw out the first pitch, the Pope, Warren Jeffs, Rev. Jeremiah Wright? If player is caught stealing will they be flogged or offered absolution? If a manager is thrown out will it be for eternity or just sent to purgatory? Will the sign of the cross mean a slider or a curve ball? Do we have a fish mascot?
So...
Take me out to The Ballgame
Take me out to the Church
Buy me a Rosary, and some Holy Water
I don't care if I become a Martyr
So it's root, root, root for Jesus
If we don't win it's a sin...............!

Can you believe the nerve of them? I think six-flags has one of those days too. I heard that they also have a radio and tv station. Quick call the ACLU, the christians are taking over!!!

What in the world is this Christian founded nation coming to? Next thing you know there will be someone on this very blog site telling you that you are going to hell if you don't repent of your sins, and trust in Jesus. Wow, you better hope that never happens.

Silly Christians! You never know what their going to pull next.

Touche'! I appreciate that someone who disagrees with me can find the satire.

"Would they sponsor a atheist, pagan or anarchist day at the ballpark, much less a Muslim, Jewish or Hindu Day"

Why not, they have GAY DAY at Disneyland.

"Who will throw out the first pitch, the Pope, Warren Jeffs, Rev. Jeremiah Wright?"

Well, no, because this is a CHRISTIAN event. And those people preach a gospel different than the gospel of grace.

"purgatory" "Rosary"

Neither one is biblical.

The Shan,
That's exactly what I'm talking about. Your version of Christianity seems to differ from others, I'm sure a lot of people would argue the validity of the above mentioned leaders as well as other religious practices.

Don't worry they will treat the Christians like they do anybody else and make them sit in the nosebleed sections.....
Check out some of the other promotions.....

How do you feel about dogs at the ballpark....
August 24 vs. Atlanta - 1:15 PM

I was too late for Dog Day at the Park, I really wanted to go, it sells out quick. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Remember when the Romans invited the Christians to the stadium, it wasn't such a good idea for the Christians.
