Shoplifters swoop in, and in seconds, they can clean out a store. The stuff ends up being auctioned or sold online.. The problem is so bad, a major store has its own forensics lab.  On Thursday night’s Contact 2 on FOX 2 News at 9, Elliott Weiler shows you the crooks in action and reveals how investigators use cutting edge techniques to crack the case.

So the question we have for you is: Have you ever shoplifted?  Feel free to comment below after you vote.

You will never get honest results with this poll..... Admitting something like this means admitting that your not perfect.......

I got caught stealing baloons when I was a kid..... It was major trauma and a lesson well learned......

Well except for the time we pulled that Armored Car Job.....lol

NO-Never! However, at a young age was accused of it. We had a little grocery in Murphy Flats (Bannecker's) where I was going to buy a box of parakeet food. I was carrying it close to my chest and the owner, Jack Bannecker, suddenly confronted me, accusing me of trying to stash it in my jacket. Pretty traumatizing at the time, and never went back!

Was in Jr. High, it was a Cheerleader thing. Think it was a $1 tube of make-up. A year or so later the little old lady that owned the store in town told another little old lady that I had stolen a lemon from her store. My mom happened to be there and questioned her. I was livid because I had paid for that lemon, just like I did before every game. Had to keep from getting hoarse from cheering so loudly. (It was probably my cousin Debbie, they always mixed up our names when gossiping).

I was less then 10 when i was at a small store with a friend. I picked up a piece of bubble gum and kept in my hand. My friend finally decided what she wanted and she paid for it. We left the store and when we got a block away I realized I still had it in my hand. I turned around and went back to the store feeling guilty. I told the owner that I had the the piece of penny gum in my hand and I forgot to pay for it. He smiled and told me not to worry and he gave it to me. It was a sweaty piece by then and the owner new my father. He knew that I would be in more trouble with my dad then I would be with the cops. It remained our secret and I never stole anything again

Yes, in my young adult years I did indeed pilfer goods from a grocery store. I do not make any bones over the fact but just add that I did so while I was homeless and only stole what i needed to survive. (food) Have never done so again and do not condone it.

I never shoplifted, but I grew up with a friend who constantly did. One day, we went to the old West Roads Shopping Center (now known as the Galleria) to Stix, Baer and Fuller (now known as Dillards). I asked him if he were planning to take anything. He said he was. I told him that if we both got caught, I would never make it into the high school seminary. He refrained from shoplifting on that day!
