Why don't we believe it....??

Have you ever been told something or seen something,  but you still had to see for yourself ?...... Well I was presented the opportunity to observe this weakness in man last night...... Playing music for an outdoor wedding on a farm placed my tent right next to a beautiful garden with an electric fence around to keep the deer from eating all the vegtables...... Although it was quite obvious what it was it seems that a lot of the guests had to put their hand on the wire to see for themself...... This is a lesson I learned long ago.... But it is human nature for us to see for ourself....... Have you ever seen a wet paint sign.....??

Have you ever learned the hard way......??

I remember coming up out of the field with my Dad and he told my brother not to touch the exhaust pipe cause it was hot. What did my brother do....yep, grabbed that sucker and burned the snot out of his hand! Never could figure that one out.

I've always heard that line as does this taste alright to you.......lol

And not to forget the brave individuals that put a Warhead in their mouth to show how tough they are or chomping down on a hot pepper and pretending that it is not hot......

Thanks for the laughter guys. I can relate to all of the examples. Our need to be included or not to be left out of what every we feel we might be missing is over powering. Or the power of, I have to try it for myself because I doubt your judgement. Don't you always wonder what is beind the "Do Not Enter" door?

I drove around a "Road Closed due to Flooding", well they weren't lying! It was dark and I drove right into high water. I was fortunate I could back out, yet it was winter, the temp dropped below freezing, and it took 3 days with a propane furnace to melt the frozen water off the undercarriage of my car. My brother wanted to kill me.
Also have a problem with "Falling rocks". Had to see it to believe it and I almost got clobbered.
Apparently "signs" have a purpose...LOL
