How many people do you need around...??

alone-2.jpg alone image by bucielo

Lately I have been reading comments about the people that like to blog..... The words as I remember were to the tune that most bloggers are lonely and have nothing better to do than to blog and are reaching out for friends.... I feel it to be right the opposite..... Even if a person is one of the most famous people in the world  with millions of fans, they can still feel lonesome....... I live in a busy world where  I am constantly surrounded by people and blogging to me is quiet  time spent exercising  nothing but my thoughts .........  On the blogs one can converse with people they have nothing in common with and in ordinary life would probably have never met......  Bloggers get to know each other before they ever meet so there is no pre judgement based on looks....... Blogging has evolved from  a discussion  format to many new heights...... Informative, educational, social, political, and gender bending are just some of the things that come to mind...... So to the posts I've read with comments that bloggers need to get a life....... All I can say that blogging is about life and most of the bloggers have lived  and their colorful characters are the end result.........

Have you ever been told to get a life.....??

Ahhh!!! Yeah!!!! on the blog's is the only place tho. I agree you can have many people around you and feel as tho you are the only one in the room. But sometime's that is depression. Not that you don't have a life. Blogging to me is fun and really Truman and I do get out more now with the blogging community our kid's even join in on some of them if time is permitting for them. We aren't just working on the property all the time.We take at least a Sunday to do thing's now with other people beside's me and him. Inwhich I do enjoy his company. I enjoy blogging. My life don't depend on blogging. But through blogging we have met some really good people and some not so good. But hey nabor's are like that some good and some bad.OK, I hear the tractor. That mean's he is done over at the son's with what I wanted him to do. So that mean's he will spread this dirt and we have to plant some fecue and straw it and water. Now tell me that isn't having a life.

I have made the comment that some ppl need to get a life, in the manner that, only because they sit here and cut ppl down, or rip on their blogs, etc. When i first started blogging, i actually started feeling like i had NO life..lol. Blogging is very addicting. I dont make blogs to often because i get sick of stupid people! All i can say "is to each his/her own"

I've seen it said by many bloggers..... It is what inspired this blog...... It's really all in the delivery..... There are about 10 different wasy that those words can be expressed..... Most of them are harmless but a couple with malice and hate..... I just thought it would be interesting.....

Yeah most of the time it's used in fun.... There are a few that use it with disrespect....

It's part of the... "Get A".... vocabulary.....

You know......
Get A Job........ Get A Haircut........ Get A Clue........Get A Grip.........Get A Girlfriend .......Get A Room....... Get a sense of humor...............etc

The fox2 blogs were a Godsend for me. When I first found this site, I was in a dark and sad place due to the loss of my Grandma. I truly think that reading and writing blogs helped me get back to living. So, I suppose I did need to "get a life" when I started blogging here. I wouldn't change it for the world...

Get a life? Are you kidding?
Blogging is a way to communicate with people. Whether casual, sports or political, this is a part of life.
My father spent many hours writing to the Editors of the Post and Globe. He was published frequently. When email became available, they pretty much ignored him. He refuses to learn this, yet is proud of me for using the opportunity to have a voice.
When I started blogging here, I was new and it took time to get a feel for the people you see in various blogs. I do this when I can't sleep, if you check out my blogging times, and I work from home, so I get a chance to check out what is happening during the day.
Blogging has given me more reasons to inform myself, learn and "discuss" current events, and in some cases, has given me an awareness about subjects I wouldn't have an opportunity to discuss with most people.
My friends love me, and some have watched me blog, but for the most part, I find them to have little interest. They bore me. I do not get bored here or on any other blog I write in.

By the way, I never get lonely, and I live alone...Love it.
Wait, I do have a dog and a little bird.
Blogging isn't what keeps me from being alone. I just happen to be happy and busy and enjoy coming home to the quiet...and I always no where the scissors are...LOLLL

I use to blog all the time when I first joined but now it's once in a blue moon. It's fun if you can find a topic you can relate to. But I don't think it's nice to tell people to "get a life"...the people that are doing that ...aren't they blogging too...lol.

Hi Mr_Wildflower!

I enjoy conversing with you and others on this site, it is fun, and you are good company! I love to learn, and the exchange of ideas here on this site, in general, is always welcome and I think it is a good thing. We can always use new ideas and new perspectives to look at things, that only broadens our horizons!

BTW, there is **no way** I am lonely, I am not ever done with my job of taking care of others (family -- both parents and children) until they all go to bed!! (hence the 1am postings of recipes lol) My house is always full, I never know how many (relatives) will be here for dinner, or how many kids from the neighborhood will be over visiting my kids (ok with me)... My house seems to be the gathering place this summer so far, that is cool at least I can keep an eye on them, and know what they are doing!!! They are all good kids, they have fun together, at least I know they are okay here, because I am always right there.

Hope you have a GREAT Fathers' Day!!!

:)

Get a life, has the same sarcastic overtones as "right", "sure", "I need my space", or the famous "Whatever". Expressions used by people, whom at the moment were filled with their own importance and could care less about the feelings of their fellow man.

Those words rank right up there with "you know", "exactly", "like" and a zillion other fillers which are taking the place of "uh". Remember in seventh grade English we were taught you can pause in your thinking with out punctualting the pause with "uh". Of course, this was back in the dark ages when the proper use of verbs and nouns and other elements of sentence structure was taught.

To answer your question, Have I been told to "Get a life"? The answer is yes, I have. My reply was, "I have one I am extremely happy with. What's your problem, Do you need a new life?"
