Emergency Vehicles!

OK

 

here goes!  Today we were out enjoying the weather.  Watchin traffic and there was Fire truck that was approaching an intersection and had their sirens blairing.  Other cars felt the need to slow down and stop, (mine you it is the law)  A cab driver decided that he was going to speed up and try and go pass the fire truck that was coming into traffic.  The cab driver almost hit the fire truck.  What is up with this?  We tried to get the license of the cab driver so we could report it.  I have seen this a few times in the past....  Wonder how this cab driver would feel if they were the family that requested the fire truck and the fire truck was in an accident due to a person who did not want to obey the law and stop so that the Ermergency vehicle could do their job.....  I am just amazed at people.

That cab driver ought to be fired! We should all OBEY emergency vehicles. If you are seen by a policemen ignoring the siren of an emergency vehicle, you can get a ticket. And that goes on your record.

Heck, alot of cab drivers are foreigners, they havent a clue to the rules of the road.

Cab drivers have diplomatic immunity. My main question is this...was the firetrucks siren in Arabic?

Isn't that the truth speedo. I sometimes wonder if drivers' radios are up too loud. Isn't it annoying when you are at the red light and someone's subwoofers are rattling your car too? I'm sure the cab driver was doing three things or more at once.

I just commented on your Metro bus blog on speeding. Yeah, it's Metro, cops, taxis, city vehicles, ambulances, you name it they are all driving poorly on occasion. I guess when we see them doing so it's the first time they've done this.

Dodge , you miss the mark again.
They , like all of us , must pass the tests to obtain a license.
How could they do so if they didn't know the regulations?
Perhaps it is that they don't care maybe , but not that they don't know.

I have seen that way to many times. I live near kingshiway&manchester. like no one stops . had one dummy honking his horn at a firetruck that was helpping at a fire .
