is there any bloggers out there that is currently drag racing or drag raced at the local tracks?

How far back do you care to go? haha...drag-raced my '68 Plymouth Roadrunner at I-55 Dragway back around 1976 thru '79-80. Also raced our Super Bee there, but can't remember what model year it was. ('69 or '70?). There weren't too many women racing back then, but my husband at the time and our best friends (husband and wife) did, also.

I go way back .Raced at Alton Dragway in the 60's , Watched at Parks Air Collage in the 50's . Raced at Malden Mo , Wentzville Mo , Hale Street , Paragould Ar.
First car 50 Chevy Coupe , straight 6 261 truck engine . I thought it could fly . LOL
We had a ton of great drag racers here in the Midwest . Greesey Harry St, Louis , Pitts and Curtis racing team Malden Mo . To name just a few .
Sunday !!! Sunday Alton Dragway !!!! BE THERE , BE THERE !!! LOL .

My brother and brother in law use to race at International Raceway back in the day. Was Rich Robinson the same Rich that owned the junk yard in UCity?

I have never myself but was a passenger a few times in our 1970 Superbird. 440,4spd,4barrel. It was fun.

I did back in the early 70's at St. Louis International, but, never professionally. I ran my Chevy Malibu SS many times on Grudge Night. I can't remember if Grudge Nights were Tuesdays or Wednesdays, but, for $2 you could get in and run your car several times.

It was on Olive right past Westgate. It's gone now. I think it burnt up. Anyway he use to hang out with my brother and brother in law.
