It has been a long time since I have been on the blogs but this story got my attention. I really would like to know why Vick is getting jail time for a dog and Lenord Little got a slap on the wrist for taking a human life, does any one seen something wrong with our justice system or is it just me. This is crazy, dont get me wrong i love animals and am glad that there are people out there to stick up for them but to me a human life is worth a lot more. The pro football teams no longer want Vick but we still have Little playing for the Rams and some still cheer him on. How sad.

I agree. It is a sad situation.I think I heard also that all the dogs involved will be but to sleep. Not the dogs fault they were trained that way.But both needed jail time in my opinion.

I also agree. The laws on alcohol related crimes need to be increased. Probation just doesn't cut it. Both should be in jail.

I agree. I do enjoy watching the Rams play, but when Little is on the field, I still find myself calling him "that murderer."

I agree that Leonard Little got off way too easy. But this is what I think is the difference between Vick and Little. Vick INTENTIONALLY killed dogs by hanging, drowning and electrocuting them. That is not only wrong, it is psychotic. When Little climbed into his SUV drunk and slammed into that poor woman, I don't believe his intention was to murder her. Agreed...she's dead all the same. But Vick's intent and Little's intent are totally different. I have in the past [and I'm sure a large majority of the bloggers on this site] have driven after drinking too much. Thank God I was fortunate enough to get home safely without harming anyone. I have never hung a dog, then decided to drown it or beat it to death when the animal would not succomb to hanging.

I wondered the same question so I checked: Little received 90 days in the stl work house and the NFL only suspended him for 8 games. Not only that but the Rams backed him with the HIGH PRICE ATTORNEY SCOTT ROSENBLUM. With that type of money you can BUY ALL THE JUSTICE YOU NEED. I no longer watch Rams because of this - I refuse to support a team who coaches and senior managment support a DRUNK KILLER. But its truly sad - Vick and all those involved should get the same amount of time but I somehow don't believe that will happen. I also believe Vick and buddies should be placed a fighting pit and treated the exact same way those poor dogs were done. You are correct all of those animals will be put down because they can't be trusted. Thats truly sad because the dogs just want to be loved - they didn't ask to be placed in a fighting pit.

I think BOTH should be in prison. Yes, the Rams glorified Little and hired the scam lawyer of the rich and famous. Then he was caught drinking and driveing AGAIN and still the Rams protect him. The woman was white...reverse racism? I am sooooo sick of so called Vick racism being shoved down my throat on all the newschannels. He is SICK-I don't care if he's purple! And if the rap community that glorifies this doesn't think so ...does any law abiding, non gangster citizen care....I don't think so!
When I hear Little's name during a game or a sports broadcast I always think ..I bet her family and friends are so sick and broken hearted to keep hearing that rich idiots name!

Little is such a loser! Killer! Killer! Killer! Killer! Killer! Killer! Killer! It's a disgrace! I am going to risk being beat up this season by wearing a Little jersey to every game I attend with his number and the name Killer over it. I thought I was the only one who felt this way, I am glad the world still has level headed people living in it.

I'm so glade that both men were AA.
This would be a wonderful opportunity to make a case of Race.

The the facts are they are both guilty.
I want to play devils advocate in behalf of LL.
Its very difficult for our sociaty to put a grown man in jail that has the IQ capacity of a 9 year old. The Lambs I'm mean the Rams stood behind him because the coach was able to give instruction to Little in how to perform in a game. here's an example: Coach speaking

"Len I want to to go out on the field and get that man with the ball"
Leonard response: " DA coach is this guy hurting you?

There's the difference between the two.

I totally agree with sirblogsalot. The difference here is intent not the outcome of the situation. Michael Vick didn't make a "mistake." He intentionally tortured animals. Think about that. Tortured! He's a pig and I hope he gets jail time and is never allowed to play in the NFL again. What Little did was a horrible "mistake" that an innocent woman and her family paid for. But it was a mistake in that he didn't intend for that to happen.
