Is the DMV promoting under age drinking??

So I was on my commute home from work when I was behind a car with the license plate GTBEER.  The male driver didn't look a day over 17.  It is very clear what the license plate is to spell out.  What is the deal?  You only have to be 16 to get a drivers license and depending on your family situation you either purchase your own car, or get a hand me down that becomes yours.  It is obvious that the young male behind the wheel lives for beer.  What parent in their right mind would allow their child to get this for their plate?!!   As a parent trying to raise a child in this day and age, I find it very inappropriate for the DMV to allow someone under legal drinking age to get a personalized plate as such.

 

What is your take on it??

Yes..Thats what I say it probably was his Dad's car..Not to many teenagers gets their own license plates.

I thought license plates had to be approved through the state. I guess one slipped through the cracks

Both of my sons drove vehicles that had personalized plates on them. They didn't get them. They were our vehicles. You can't say unless you know who owns the car.

What's wrong with it? It doesn't mean anything..

He's just trying to be cute/ funny...

I'm sure the parents have bigger battles to fight that what his license plates say.

The DMV does occassionally let one slip past the monitors. I read one that was reversed and was shocked as it was crude. It was a while back, so I can't remember it, but I should have written it down and sent it to the DMV to have it yanked.

Alpha Dog Target is the only place to shop!!! **Remember when ever you are on a bike, motorized or not, put on a helmet. Your arm(s) & leg(s) will heal, but what about the most important part of your body...head??? Food for thought.
