St. Louis Police Lieutenant Dies After He Falls Off Roof

Robbie is a great man and will be dearly missed by all. He is the son of my mothers best friend and I grew up with him. I can't believe it when my mom told me tonight that this happened. Please say a prayer for his 2 kids to help them get threw this. I know his parents are very devestated and so his wife, kids, brothers, sister and all inlaws to him.

Rest in Peace Robbie, may you be your famlies gaurdian angel. We love youand will miss you.

My prayers are with his family....My husband fell off our roof on Dec. 2nd 2007 and is still out of work...he some how made it over the grill but still managed to brake his heel....so I know that it could have been worse here also....I really don't know what I would have done had something worse than a broken heel had happened to my husband.

He trained my husband many many many times and my husband has nothing but wonderful things to say about him. This was such an awful tragedy. May he rest in peace. God has another hero by his side.

He is my wifes brother and it has hit the family hard. Just to think that a police officer that has many arrests under his belt and dies from a simple task has all of of us looking at our lifes now.
I wonder at the simple things now, like changing the trubine covers or replacing a loose tile on the roof.

I know I thought if anything his job would of put him at risk not a simple task. I can' only imagine what is going on with Jeanna and Mike. thanks everyone for your condolense and prayers it'll be needed for his family they are one heck of a family that has a great love.

Oh my God zlito. I am so so so sorry for your loss. Like I said before, my husband said he was a wonderful guy and a wonderful trainer. Obviously he has touched many many many lives. Another hero gone but not forgotten.

momoffour, my husband fell off our roof Dec. 9th & isn't back to work yet either, just learning how to walk without crutches this week, how far along is your husband in his recovery? we just don't know what to expect, the Dr. seems to not give much info. Like you - I realize it could've been alot worse! & my thoughts & prayers are with the family that lost someone very special!

my husband also broke his heel. and had his surgery a few days later, he has not been released to work or drive yet.

I would like to go to the wake tonight but with this weather and me living in St Charles county I am really nervous about driving that far. I know his mom would understand but I don't know if I could not go. Unfortunatly I can't get off work tomorrow for the funeral it self. I'm glad that his fellow officers will be there for his family today and tomorrow. May he rest in peace
