Yeah, what's the deal with any lead in the paint on kids toys? They worry about lead paint on the walls. I'd worry about on toys worse! They chew on toys more than on walls!

I wonder what the American CEO's are now thinking about this. They closed toy factories here becuase it was cheaper to produce there and they laid off American workers. I say those who made the decision to shut down our plants and import that toxic mess should have there behinds kick!!!!! Look at the other mess China has gotten around - chemicals in the dog/cat food - when will our politicans open their eyes and realize they made a mistake. We should be self sufficent as a country and not have to depend on any other country. My parents taught me to TAKE CARE OF HOME FIRST our politicans have truly let the American people down.

What we (U.S.) needs to do now is create a huge surcharge/tariff on all imports. Make it ridiculous as this will convince these American companies to move their assembly plants back to the states. The main reason why they all left is because of unionization. Yeah, I'll hear it from the blue collars BUT it's true. So - have these companies come back here since a tariff (lets say 50%) is too high and it's then cheaper to build/produce in the US. We'll create good jobs, solid products, and now control "lead paints" and/or any other inadequate materials that the foreigners are putting in our products.

Lawmakers - get some gonads...you got your raises now get some praises! Create a ridiculous 50% tariff for any import. We'll see more automobile plants, tons of assembly plants, Dell's customer service would speak English her in the US - it'd be great!

Speedy62269: Clinton/Bush dynasty add a little Rockerfeller to that, knows what to do, they do not care about us. All they care about is power and money.

In the US, they put floride in your water, that causes so many health problems. If someone wants floride, give them tablets. They can buy a whole truckload of those for a few dollars, why subject everyone else to this aluminum and run-off from fertilizer plants.

US is supposed to be government by the people, but it looks like "Government for the pockets using the American citizens".

Get the gangsters out of Washington DC, send them to China. China would never put up with them. JUST Had to sound off. I'm aggravated, my garage door is broke again, just sitting here waiting for the guy to come and fix it.

STOP all imports....increase tariffs by 150% and force these lowballers to come back and assemble stuff here in Southern Illinois for $14/hr or Missouri for the same. Each employee would make about $30,000 a year, it would truly be American made and Wal-Fart can do nothing. Remember, you cannot blame Wal-Fart totally because they are selling the products that the consumers demand - (supply/demand) and ironically they are made in China or India.

Bring em home (assembly plants / jobs / troops) - it's time to stop screwing around with the American voters.

Oh, and fire LaRussa!

And if production is brought back to the US. I think that some executives need a cut in pay to compensate for their greedy ways and poor decisions! There is no need for someone to make triple digets and have toys: (hummers, million dollar home, vacation homes, etc), while the middle class continues to suffer!

I'm a mom of three great kids, and a wonderful hubby that does all the cooking. My life is pretty boring, but I like it. I love reading all the blogs as I sometime learn something or I am just very entertained.
