"{ Republicans can continue these cynical attacks, but we won't let them dicredit the idea that ordinary people can and should have a stake in their communities.

We know that people who serve their communities--from those who fight for steady jobs and improved houseing in their neighborhoods, to those who work in soup kitchens and halfway houses, to the young people takeing time after class to register voters, to the volenteers who work  for better schools and cleaner streets--are a vital part of this country. They're not just fighting to make their communities better, they're fighting to make America better.

If you believe in the power of ordinary people to do extraordinary things--if you refuse to stand by and watch these cynical Republicans attacks on grassroots service--please and help to register voters in your community.

This is how real change has always come about in America, and this is how we'll bring change to America come November.}"--------------------------------------------

She takes no comments, so, I'm commenting on my own blog and inviteing comments.  In the first place, Republicans have made no, not any , none, cynical attacks on anyone. Just another Democratics LIE. Republicans have attacked no, not any, none of the good people working to improve communities throughout  this great land.

THE FACT IS---A majority of the successful people in this great work are Republicans.

This is how real change comes to America and is how John McCain/Sarah Palin will bring  real change successfully ------key word here( successfully)

Chicago community improvement programs are corruptions run by the Daily democratic machine.  There were more people killed in Chicago last year than Iraq.

The Dem's are the one's on the attack of Palin and her child, and McCains military record. That to me is uncalled for. I think Palin is what has got the Dem's running scared.
I have noticed everytine something happens that BO has to explain like his church - just look and see how they try to turn the whole picture around and point their fingers at the Rep's. I seen BO being interview last night and at NO TIME WOULD HE SAY HE MADE A MISTAKE on the issue of Surge. Everyone else is wrong but he makes NO MISTAKES - just ask him.

I really hate it when someone can not own up to an obvious truth. No matter how whole-heartedly he thought he was right at the time, the surge was a good decision and has worked. His (Obama's) insistence to deny the truth, reminds me of Nixon.

Now, listen, I know you guys are republican, but are you really trying to tell me there were no cynical remarks made against the democrats at the republican convention? I know there were plenty made at the democratic convention. Giulliana literally laughed at Obama being a community organizer. Palin made numerous jabs. Both sides at both conventions did it.

Chicago community organisers'salery in years past was paid for by Al Capone. Today it is a government function serveing the Democratic Party, slum lords and racist churches. Obamas' experience in that job description is political hack.

Chicago politics and New Orleans politics is a prime example of far left socialist (liberal) governance.

Another thing that keeps me healthy is I don't have air conditioning. When I go to the woods to work no running water or electricity. Modern stuff makes ya soft.

And what are the responsibilities of a community organizer? Is there anything they have to actually achieve to retain their job?
Or are they just a gov't shoulder for people to cry on while nothing gets done to alleviate the problems.

I just mentioned his being a "community organizer" because it was repeatedly being made fun of by republicans at thier convention. I have no idea what he did as a "community organizer" or what it means to be one.

And I think the fact that you are 70 and can still run a mile at all puts you ahead of the curve kdubken, lol.

I agree with MUT--Definately jabs on both sides. That's politics. That stated, the candidates themselves have been pretty straightforward. Nothing too absurd. However, some of the people that support BO are absolutely nuts. They fabricate lies. Post made up pics, stories, etc.,. Nothing wrong with supporting BO, but can't they stick to verified facts? I see more citations from bogus left sites, fake stories and the like. the lefties also have this irrational hatred of George Bush. Did he run over your dog or cat or something? Only a whacked out animal worshipper would post some of the things they post.

Both sides are equally bad in my opinion.

I like how these conventions are played out. All the speakers before the nominess come out and take jabs at the opposition, and then the nominee comes out and plays nice. Although Obama did take some shots at McCain in his speech.

I heard BO explain "community organizer" today on TV - he said it was when he got out of college he moved to Chicago and he started working with the newly unemployed steel workers that lost their job - well I really hate to tell him this but the steel workers were in Indiana - NOT CHICAGO ILLINOIS. I could not believe it when I heard him state this, as now I feel his education did not do too much for him or maybe he just did not have geography. But that was his "community organizer" definition. I might add he was asked about his video about McCain voting 90 percent of the time with the Rep's and the news man said you voted 96 times with the Dem's = and I just do not get what you mean - are you saying you are not to vote with your party - BO stuttered and never answered the question.

I think community organizer and activist are about the same.....No work and there is always some group willing to give you some money!
