Pelosi continues to insist on big pay off to trial lawyers.  Our ability to monitor terrorist is eroded daily as democratics fight to weaken the Protect America Act.

To Amom this bill was a law that expired. It protects phone companies from lawsuits if the phone company releases clients phone records. Our government wants to look at the records and track terrorist activity. Democrats want lawyers to be able to sue the phone companies.

That's right Bubba.----The democratics continue to take the side of terrorists. The cell phones used by terrorists go through American telecom companies. They buy a phone make 1 or 2 calls on it. You can't tap the phone so u have to run a database to identify the person makeing the call. The democratics don't want terrorists over seas who call someone in US to be in the data base

The government can check my phone anytime. Won't find much but calls to the girl's school and relatives. Oh yea forgot about the phone calls to the pizza company.

The only ones who worry must have something to hide.

I really have no idea why anyone cares if the govt looks at your phone records, unless you have something to hide. It seems that everything the leading Democrats stand for on Security, benefits our enemies.

Democrats......aren't these the same people who decimated the CIA and our intelligence gathering abilities, and then turned around and wanted to blame Bush for using 'flawed intelligence' in Iraq?

Nah, it couldn't be them!

Sen. Frank Church (dem of Utah) headed a select committee in 1975 that did a number on the CIA. Along with the freedom of information act pretty well ended the CIA human spy network. They leaked like a colander and got a bunch of people killed. Sence then The US gets most human generated Intel from Isreal and private company sources. They may slant it a bit for their own political purpose.

Remember Talent the slam dunk guy. He said he was trying to rebuild the human intelligence capacity. Maybe yes maybe no.

I'm glad you all agree with the slow but steady decimation of our constitution that has taken place these last 7 years. When you are all being told who you can talk to, what you can wear, what you can watch, what you can read, I hope you are singing the same tune. After all, we will be safe, but I guess freedom is the price to pay, right?

If you are talking to Osama Bin Lawden or his soldiers you have no right to privacy. The constitution is not a suicide pact.

The word freedom don't mean much to dead folks. If we are to die at the hands of terrorist , what good is privacy, freedom and a constitution? They can check my phone and I will continue to pay the bill.

kdubken - one very minor correction.....Frank Church (D) was from Idaho not Utah.

I know he was from Idaho' Don't why I wrote Utah, but, Thanks.
I mentioned Church because he was one of the first democratics to change sides during a war.He supported the many democratic bills to tie the hands of the military while soldiers died on the battlefield in Viet Nam.

Truer words were never spoken Hoghd. Because of democratics propaganda many Americans believe that George Bush started the war in Iraq. A belief not supported by any facts when you think back to the events leading up to the action.

Hey, speaking of idiots, here's all the same ones again, mouthing off about Pelosi, as if defending the pathetic phone monopoly from violating our privacy makes her some kind of terrorist.

Right back at you, right wing goons....

It is BUSH, so determined to defend his wealthy friends and contributors to the fine Republican stalwarts of freedom and liberty from monetary lawsuits, that HE puts protecting the phone companies from lawsuits AHEAD of the safety of you and me! Yep, them Republicans is some fine folks, yes 'em!

It's simple - if some big phone monopoly, a private corporation, of course (just wouldn't be America if it didn't enrich the few!), gives out my private information or tapes my call or whatever, in that phony name of phony homeland security, I'm going to sue them because that is against our Constitution - got it?

Of course, remember, too, that the rest of the civilized world (assuming we are still a part of it) has nationalized their phone companies to prevent private greed and gain from this kind of private information. But ours, alone is the world as usual, are private monopolies, so we have a right to sue them as private entities.

George Bush DID start the war in Iraq, Mr. Bright.

To OurDumbestHour: Security mean nothing to me if I'm living in a world with no freedom, liberty or privacy, either. Funny how that logic works both ways...

Fools, idiots, whatever terms the right throws around to defend their defenseless and dying agenda, folks can see for themselves examples of the true textbook definition of the terms by reading this b

I am a freedom loveing 70 yr old male conservetive political junkie. I am healthy, work when i want, play when I want, smoke too much, drink too much, and respect what other people want to do. If I were to have a by line it would be a warning. You may go to hell even if you don't believe in it. The pictures are 1 of me walking on water,and,1 of a hot tub spa deck I built last summer.
