Hello everyone in blogger world!!

I wanted to take a minute and write about something that happened the other night when I was leaving work.

It was Monday (grrr) and I was just having on of those days.

I work downtown and it was dark (5:30) and I was walking to my car, pretty much in tears because like I said before it was a rough day.

Well I get in my car and guess what? Yep it was dead. I was like oh please not now please. I'm not an emotional person but I was just so upset. I was like of all days why why why. I tried to get help from the parking garage and they were pretty much like um well sorry but your going to have to wait about 2 hours for someone to get here. The lady was like go wait by your car and when they get here I'll tell them to look for you. So I walked back to my car hoping that someone I worked with would have stayed late and would help..

Well no luck, and since I live in St. Charles I knew calling for help would take at least an hour. So I called and had my son's dad get Blake for me from daycare.

I leaned up against my car and just waited. A very strange car was driving by and staring at me then backing up and doing it again. I was like Katie stop being paranoid he is probably just wondering what your doing standing by your car in the cold all puffy eyed. But nevertheless I was little scared.

All of a sudden a man I swear came out of no where in his Cadillac, looking like Santa Claus (not dressed like him, but you get what I mean..I hope ) He even had a pipe hanging out of his mouth. The man in the strange car after seeing my hero pull up took off.

This elderly man stopped and looked at me not knowing what my problem was and got out his car and said do you mind if I stop ma'am? You look like you could use help. His eyes were so filled with concern, and mine were filled with relief.

I could of hugged him right there. He pulled up his car jumped mine and waited until I got out of the parking lot before going on his way. I told him thank you a million times, but wish I could have caught his name. So if he reads this blog thank you thank you thank you. He could have possibly been a Guardian Angel in disguise.

It just warmed my heart to see such a random act of kindness. He didn't know me and didn't have to help me, but he did. I always try to help people in need.

What has a stranger done for you? Or what have you done to help out someone in need?

I have seen a story out of Europe in People this week.. It was about a beautiful 4 year old girl that was kidnapped out of her hotel room in the beginning of this month. She was taken while her parents where eating dinner down in a resteraunt in their hotel....ummm hello you left your 3 young kids in your room unspervised? That's okay they at least checked on them every 15 minutes right? Give me a break.

Now the parents are horrified because they went back to their room and their daughter was missing. This story has made headlines and some celebrities have donated money for her safe return. Almost 5 million dollars.

That being said, it is a horrible horrible thing that has taken place. No parent should ever have to feel that pain. No child should ever have to suffer at the ill hands off a monster.

This beautiful little girl is one of thousands. Why aren't they asking her parents what the heck were you doing leaving 3 kids alone by THEMSELVES who are under the age of 5? I don't know a lot about other countries or how they supervise their children...but common sense.... What about all the kids missing here? Sorry but, there are kids here that are missing and I don't see famous faces making pleas on T.V or donating money to their captors for the kids save return. Sorry I'm done

This is the first time I have ever blogged so be patient please. In december of 2005 my husband and father of my child left me. We had been together since highschool, so the odds were againest us from the start. He has since moved on with his life and I have well yet to get over the heart ache.
He is a wonderful father and a great man( which makes it that much harder to walk away). I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or any helpful advice to help me out a little. I have a great family and wonderful friends, but it seems no one can really relate to my state of depression. I live for my son as any good parent should. I just feel like I have to learn to trust again, and see myself as a winner not as someone who continues to cry and to love someone who doesn't do the same for them. Thank you soooo much.

P.S. I have been reading these blogs for awhile now and I love it.
