I was just wondering if anybody on the MYFOXSTL website is going to Pointfest this weekend.I am taking my son (14) for the whole day.I am also guessing I will be the oldest person there (that is not working at a concession stand.) If anybody else is going, let me know.It looks like the weather will be great for a day of Alternative Rock and Roll.

No, probably not going this year. My bro usually has a band he manages playing. He's been out of town so much lately not sure what's going on. He's been with The Urge and Modern Day Zero that's played there . Once was the "towel girl" (for the sweaty guys) for The Urge and got to be on stage looking out. Quite a trip...

Wish I would have seen this earlier. We went and it was a long crazy day for us. I had a good time though

If anyone saw "Shaman's Harvest", they're one of my brother's bands. (They played early)

Yes, I caught Shaman's Harvest! I liked 'em! I actually contacted them trying to get them to play at the Halloween show I'm putting on! They never contacted me back. I guess they're too much "big time" for me, Haha!

You're not the only black man there Tom. I keep looking for you, but I never see a black man that looks 50. You must look young and it's throwing me off!

I was a great show, one of the best Pointfests ever!

I was hot! (I watched your weather Glen, where'd that 78' for high go, that you "predicted" earlier in the week?)

Thank you all for your post on this blog.First off I would like to say that my son and I had a great day.The weather was,a little warmer than I expected but, there was a really nice breeze all day so that was nice.We saw all the bands except for two and thats because of the wait time in line for food and drink. You would think they would have been a little bit more prepared for 22,500 people attending a show but thats for another blog someday. The crowd was really not to bad.I didnt see alot of drunks wondering around.Only a couple fights that I saw.And a couple of (crowd sufers) or whatever its called had to be carted off in the mini ambulance.Other than that no major problems that I saw.The music was really good from all the bands and they seemed to really appriciate the St.Louis fans for comming out to see them.I would also like to thank 105.7 THE POINT for putting on these concerts every year, this was my first Pointfest but I plan on going next year already.
Tom,I looked all day for a 6'4" black man.If you were there I did'nt see you. LOL
One more thing...That little suprise that Breaking benjimen had for the crowd was awesome.I dont think anybody expected to see chino from the Deftones, that was awesome.

Yeah, it was a great time. Maybe you all should have looked for Nia instead of me!LOL Just look at my pictures and you will dig what I say. And I agree JW, the crowd was great and the lines did bite. But, the music was good for the most part. Looking forward to next year. This was my first pointfest, but I guarntee it will not be my last.

Wow - I haven't been to a pointfest in awhile. I think the last one I went to was 11 or 12. What are they on now? Pointfest 25 or something? Pointfest was my first real concert (other than Six Flags concerts). I went to Pointfest 7 & 8 when I was 14. My mom dropped me and my friend off and we had a blast! 7 & 8 were two weekends in a row so that was cool too!

That wasn't Chino by the way. That was Shaun Morgan from Seether. He sometimes performs that song during Seether's tours. It was cool to see him perform with Breaking Benjamin!

You didn't see too many drunks, BECAUSE of the LONG-SLOW concession lines!

This pic is what I like to call my happy place.I cant wait for spring to get in full bloom and get back up to the woods.Just sitting in the middle of all that nature really gives you time to think and reflect on things.I have had deer walk within ten feet of me while sitting in the woods, what a great feeling to be at one with nature.
