The loyal supporters of the Democratic party would howl over the vote this week on trade if they knew about it. The Dem controled house voted to give duty free acess to the US market for Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia for another  year as it refused to vote on a two way trade bill, That means that the above countries will be able to export its goods to the US without tariffs but American companies face high tariffs to export to the same countries. Has anyone told the UAW about the Caterpiller exports that the Dem's are Blocking? Be sure to vote for the party that by its vote cuts US jobs.

You are what they would call a party idiot,Both parties are crime syndicates far worse than any other groups of organized crime, because they can bend the rules to do whatever they want. The republican party is just as bad as the democrats. The only wAY TO HELP THIS problem is to vote out all of the incumbents period, no matter what party they belong too.

Thanks for the name calling. I am sure you know the reason people resort to name calling. This vote was lead the the speaker of the house who is a Dem.

I think this was on Glen Beck, last night.

He was interviewing a man, that man said that AIG had over a trillion dollars in their assets and that Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac had billions in their assets.

He said, that the biggest thief is the most popular person and that the thieves have their good old boys in congress.

THey are ripping off American, folks.

I said that the Clinton's, Obama and he named some others,(whose names I don't recall) stand to profit from this bale-out.

We need to find out more about this. He didn't mention McCain.

Find out what they are importing and we can boy-cot the items.

Americans, better get their minds off little grips and start paying attention to what's going on in DC.

Anyone who believes that the republican party does no wrong is a party idiot in my opinion. The republicans are just as guilty, even McCain voted for this bailout with all of the pork added to it. And if you are worried about bill and obama making any money off of this bailout, then you should have been worried about all of the money bush family made off of this oil sham. The rising cost of oil and healthcare has helped create the mess this country is in. It really affected the mortgage industry. And guess what, the republicans were in control during most of that period of time.

This vote had nothing to do with the Bailout. This vote proves that what the Dem's say about being for the US worker is a false statement. Why is it when the Dem's lie it is everybody's fault but when the Rep's lie it is only there fault? I know it hurts when those you support lie to you as the Dem's this time have.

Where was the bailout for the people who lost their homes and pensions during the high-tech meltdown or Enron scam? They also claim their concern that people will lose jobs, but that has been going on viciously for a long time now while they kept quiet as companies moved their operations to countries like China to maximize their profits and boost stock values. The loudest screaming and terror prophesizing to pass the bailout is coming from the wealthiest who hold the most stocks so have the most to lose, and that includes the high-paid politicians and media.

I feel that the Democrates and the Republicans have all sold us out. You didn't hear anyone crying out about the loss of jobs. We've the dumb middle class has seen this domino game play out for the last 20 years. Each time we lost our jobs we may have found another one but less money little or no benefit. Guess what their isn't any jobs of substance left.
Im voting against everyone that wasn't voted in at the last election.

These trade agreements with these South American country's have been in place for years. Republican and Democrat parties have both pushed to insure these trade agreements.

The job's you talk of loosing to South America are not going there. The real fact is, many American manufacturing jobs are going to China.

South America has many jobs at this time due to agriculture, shipping, and some energy exports. We as well as many North American countries need these South American treaties to insure food for the winter, and even fuel oil to heat homes.

True there are some industrial jobs that have gone south, but that was to give help to areas of greater export from the South American region.

This by no means, has hurt the Americans worker.

jasage, these are unprecedented times, and I really do think our government is showing us that NEITHER Republicans NOR Democrats really, in the end, represent the working class and only pander to the ultra uber-rich and wealthy. NONE of these big Wall Street banks need a bailout. The American worker needs a bailout.

But what is frustrating is hearing your constant whining about Democrats. Dem policy hurt American workers - right. Sure it did. Geez, when you see a duck, do you call it a duck, or something else?

It is as obvious as Bush's hypocracy that REPUBLICAN economic policy of the last seven, going on eight, years has RUINED the economy middle-class people live in. And all to PAD THE PROFITS of the super-wealthy. Make NO mistake about it. Things were just great during Clinton, and went south (no pun intended) when the crooks, er, I mean the pubs took over. Like Biden said last night, the key to prosperity is the middle-class - the rich can get richer when the middle-class is booming. Not the other way around - which was "the Reagan way" (trickle down BS lie).

Look at how Republicans work in California. Just today, Schwartzwhatever said they need $8 BILLION from the government, to pay for, and I quote, "teachers' salaries, nursing homes, law enforcement and every other state-funded service". Yeah, I guess so - as usual, no money for teachers and nursing home etc. Gee, you think it's because they already paid out so much to corporate welfare, tax breaks for the rich, socialism for corporate developers, and more tax breaks for corporations to create

...to create jobs that they then don't do anyway? As usual, it's the same old Republican right-wing lie: No money for services for the people, after we paid out all we had to the wealthiest pig.

Sure, some Democrats are in on this, too. We need change, all right. But MCCAIN AIN'T CHANGE. And Republicans are NOT the answer. Democrats, because of their policy aimed at making the rich rich by allowing EVERYONE to prosper, are truly the lesser of the two evils. And that's how I'm going to vote.

If we elect McCain, the working-class may as well resign themselves to four years of economic depression and poverty, 'cause that's what they'll get with McCain.

Well, unless you're "middle-class" like Palin says she is (last night), worth over $1.4 MILLION. Yeah, that's "middle-class". If we believe that, then that's the problem!

My comment here is historic! Because AS I TYPE THIS, the House approved the welfare plan for the wealthiest! Congratulations, hat's off to America!

We are now the world's largest nation with socialism for the wealthy.

Oh, I can't wait for the discussions someday to turn back to how we "can't afford Social Security" or we "can't afford aid for health insurance" or we "can't afford Medicare". BS BS BS. If we can afford a $TRILLION phony war based on lies, and can afford a $700 BILLION welfare giveaway to the rich, we can afford it. We just have perhaps the world's most naive and easily fooled population in the world.

Those voting for McCain next month prove it - beyond any shadow of a reasonable doubt.

Sik there you go again. Phony war based on lies. The mistake Bush made was to use the intel he got from the Clinton adm. By the way did you see in the weekend STL post the Billions of dollors that have gone to STL workers from the defense dept to supply the troops. I am with you on the bailout. I don't see why I should have to pay for someone elses home. Nor why I should pay for a company to have the money to make payroll. My biggest fear is that Obama will blink when confronted by a foe of the US. The way the English did at the start of WWll. The vote by the Dem's on the trade agreement shows they don't rep the working class. And in this case the Repub's did. The Reagen way worked it was during his time in office that the overall wealth in the US grew the most.

I agree with Realestate, we need to vote ALL IMCUMBENTS OUT THE DOOR!!!! I don't care if they are republican or democrat, they need to go. I am fed up with them taking care of the lobbyists, or some other big business at the expense of the american citizens. We also need to have some omnibudsman sitting in on all congressional/senate meetings so we can learn what is actually going on up there on capital hill. They have had a free ride for so long, it's time for us to take control of our futures NOW!!!!

jsage I agree with you 100% - I have watched and listened to lies and more lies and then I had to research for myself and that is when I made my mind up (I live in Illinois) and I know what Obama has done for us, NOTHING, and if he is elected then all 57 states (according to Obama) will be seeing first hand what we in Illinois have lived with. TAXES, TAXES, TAXES
Another issue that I have is the Dems do nothing wrong and will never admit they done anything wrong and they are forever saying the Rep's are wrong and it seems the Reps do nothing right. Obama was wrong on the surge and will not say he was wrong - instead you get a bunch of mumbling words that are not even a sentence. They can not make up their mind who is running for president McCain or Palin. Even the St. Louis Post Dispatch had a headline that read: Is Palin ready to be president.
