He'll come up with a John Kerry line.....something like, "I voted against the war before I voted for it."

And none of the kool-aid drinking fools will bother to examine the chronology and the fact he wasn't even in the Senate when the decision was made to go to Afghanastan.

And, none of his willing accomplices in the media will challenge him on it!

Obama said the surge was a mistake, now that it's working he said he had 'no doubt' it would succeed...sounds like a black bill clinton...say anything and take both sides of an issue just in case...

If it does, he will blow it.
Legolas, what I am waiting to see, now that they have withdrawn the extra troops will it go back to the way it was before. Trying to control that armpit with 150,000 on the ground is a fools game. Limited war my a$$!

I sure hope if the next President is Obama, he does not limit himself to only listening to Retired Military Generals or ones who have only served during peace time. Generals who are or have been in the middle of the action hold more crediability in my book.

I SAY GET THE TROOPS OUT OF IRAQ. LET THEM FIGHT IT OUT. IF THEY LOSE THEY LOSE PERIOD. FIND OSAMA,AND TERMINATE HIM ON SIGHT. AND WORRY ABOUT THIS COUNTRY.

BO listens to NO ONE, had he listened when he was fighting Hillary he would have heard the Generals that are over there in Iraq say the war was on the mend. He soon changed his position of pulling all the troops out in 16 days to now leaving them there after McCain was saying America was winning the war. He has no experience, knowledge as to what a war is, or even have a clue as to what is going on in Iraq. He has LIED many times on the Iraq position. Believe what you want but I do believe I would go back and listen more closely as to what he is saying. Even if he pulls all of the troops out of Iraq he is going to send them to Afghanistan and I also believe the Afghanistan will be BO war if he becomes president. I do hope more people are listening closely to BO words. No one seems to be interested in his ISSUES. The Presidential job is a multi function job and will require someone who can listen and be aware of the current events. He does not have the capability to micro-manage himself, his wife, or Illinois and if you will not listen to your people then you would have to micro-manage the issues yourself, so I do not see him being a good President.

stlpolitikal have you ever read what started WWII - you might find it interesting to see how history repeats itself. Go back to the very beginning before America got involved and see what Hitler accomplished before we got bombed.

Tom I hate the term "limited War'...either fight all the way to win or don't go...the key will be when the Iraqis are fully ready to take control of their nation...I don't see another Korea, but I do see advisors and CIA, which is a good thing.

Figures an elf would say that. :)

I couldn't agree more about the term limited war. It is a moronic concept. Any war worth fighting is worth winning. We did win in Iraq. We did keep Libia from becomeing a nuclear power because of it. ----------------------As for Afganistan becomeing Obama's war the answer is no. The press does not give ownership of wars to Democratics. WWII isn't FDR's war. Korea isn't Truman's war. Viet Nam isn't Kennedy's war. Only the 2 republicans Bush and son own a war. The implication is of course that Sadam Husein didn't start the war.

My son put that elf statement in. I have no idea what it means.

Saddam Husein started the war in Iraq by the by. Democratics just lie about that part.

Well, the repubilcans placed Obama between a rock and a hard place when McCain suggested he go over to Iraq and decide for himself if the war should be over. When Obama said, "he would refine his decisions" that was based on what he might find if and when he goes to Iraq. That does not mean he is against or for it ALREADY! You cannot make an educated decision based upon something you know nothing about. NOw, the Republicans set him up real good for that. Say he goes, and his decision is to STOP the war, then the republicans can say he is not adaptable to change. Smart for the republicans, but I hope Obama will come out on top!

Obama now says he will pull out in 16 months; but only combat troops. He says he will leave a military presense to train Iraqies. They will act as what? Targets? The boy savior and the Democratic Party will continue to reguard the war as a political tool to squeeze all the votes they can out of the blame America croud.

If he would have campaigned and said what he is saying now when he was going against Hillary, she would have won. He has flipped flopped and when he was running against Hillary he was saying she was flip flopping but she was steady in her belief and now BO lies got him nominated. I think he stooped to the lowest level when he played the race card.
