They are for small business, which built this country, as long as the company puts the rights of its employees and the taxman and LAWS first and formost. They see the company as evil because it benefits the individual owner and not all the people. Communism, Socialism is what they want. VOTE REPUBLICAN Just look at what Illinois is doing. Illinois continues to hinder the small business owner over the rights of its patrons.

Mutatis I don't hate either. Most of the programs they come up with just don't make sence. Like getting rid of a health care program that is working because it uses private ins companies rather then goverment.Or thinking that raising taxes on small business owners is going to help unemployment. I guess my biggest problem with either is that they believe that the goverment is the ans to everything. I don't believe that. I find that in most cases that goverment is the problem not the ans. Look at the housing mess that we are in because the Dem's used pressure on lending companies trying to make social change.

Answer to the original question: Because they don't have absolute control over them.

The Liberals are not about helping solve problems, they're all about advancing their own agenda, and the more that they can make people dependent on government for 'solutions' to their problems the better off they are.
