Obama is promising to close Club Gitmo! Where will the 250 detainees go?  The media has led people to believe that these people are basically innocent, that they just look differently than we do, and they also speak differently!   We snatched them away from their families and their homes.  These people are human debris.  They are dangerous. They are murderers.  We have released people from Gitmo and recaptured them after they have committed battlefield crimes again; they have rejoined the war on terror.

The left in this country along with Obama (and this is Clinton, too) were saying that the people down there. Close this place because it's destroying our image in the world, that nothing goes on except torture down there.  We gotta close it down! We gotta close it down, and furthermore, then the American left's trial bar got in action here, lawyers, they said, You know, these people deserve constitutional rights.  We have held them illegally. We've held them without charging them.  We need to introduce them to the US court system in the United States, and give them fair trials.  The world will respect us again!

Can you imagine bringing the CIA in to testify as to how this prisoner happened to be captured?  Did you violate the privacy rights of the prisoners?  Did you violate any other human rights of the prisoner?  Have you mistreated the prisoner? So the question of acquittals?

There are a lot of leftists in this country who do not like this country who want those people in this country for trials. They want show trials. They want the United States being found guilty of charges them illegally, capturing them illegally, torturing them.  There are a bunch of leftist radical lawyers in this country that come from the same school Obama did that would love for that to be the result, because they know that they're a bunch of weepy-eyed journalists and mainstream media people who would then carry the water even further with documentaries.

250 people who have sworn an allegiance to kill as many Americans as possible will be out walking the streets. The Terrorist Bailout Plan.  We're essentially going to bail these people out. In fact, we'll probably make a settlement with them before any lawsuit.  We'll just say, Here's a lump sum!

These guys from the sixties who would love for these guys to be brought to trial and win and have the US shamed and have to pay off.  Obama is out there guaranteeing to close the place down, and if he can't just send them off on a boat, he will bring them to the US. These people, they don't just kill Americans. They've killed, maimed tons of people, lots of people!

Do you think this policy is wise?

By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER

WASHINGTON (AP) - President-elect Obama plans to use his executive powers to make an immediate impact when he takes office, perhaps reversing Bush administration policies on stem cell research and domestic drilling for oil and natural gas.

John Podesta, Obama's transition chief, said Sunday Obama is reviewing President Bush's executive orders on those issues and others as he works to undo policies enacted during eight years of Republican rule. He said the president can use such orders to move quickly on his own.

Elections have consequences!  If this actually happens....well then hello high gas prices!!  Please note that stem cell research in the private sector yielded little, therefore taxpayer funded research will yield little as well.

An actual discussion about Obama, by our left-wing Press!! Of course they said this after the election!

MEACHAM:  Biden's back, you know, locked in the bar or something.

ROSE: (haughty chuckle)

MEACHAM:  You know, they don't let him out.  And have you ever seen a victory speech where there was no one else on stage?

ROSE: Mmm.

MEACHAM: No adoring wife, no cute kid.  He is the messenger.

THOMAS:  There is a slightly creepy cult of personality about all this.  I mean, he's such an admirable --

ROSE:  Slightly. Creepy. Cult of personality.

THOMAS:  Yes.

ROSE:  What's slightly creepy about it?

THOMAS:  It -- it -- it just makes me a little uneasy that he's so singular.  He's clearly managing his own spectacle.  He's a deeply manipulative guy.

ROSE:  Watching him last night in that speech, he finishes --

MEACHAM: Yeah.

ROSE: -- and he sort of -- it's almost like he then ascends to look at the circumstance.

MEACHAM:  He watches us watching him.

THOMAS: Watching him!

ROSE:  Exactly!

THOMAS:  He does --

MEACHAM:  It's amazing.

ROSE:  It is amazing.

THOMAS:  He writes about this metaphor being a screen upon which Americans will project.  He said they want of Barack Obama; I'm not sure I am Barack Obama.

ROSE: Mmm.

THOMAS: He has the self-awareness to know that this creature he's designed isn't necessarily a real person, and he's self-aware enough --

They are now saying The Messiah ascends after his speech.  He ascends and he watches us watching him.  He has a self-awareness to know that this creature he's designed isn't necessarily a real person.  That was Evan Thomas, who David "Rodham" Gergen. Evan Thomas just called the first black president a creature.  A creepy creature, creepy cult of personality creature.  Uneasy, so singular, he's a creepy creature.  He ascends to heights and watches us watching him.  This creature he's designed isn't necessarily a reason person.  What, are they calling him a phony?  Yes indeed they are.

What they did to Joe the Plumber, that isn't thuggish.  That is thuggish.  When you use the power of the state to investigate and publicly humiliate and persecute a private citizen who can't do anything to you in the United States of America, that's thuggish.  And once again,  I don't care about Barack Obama except for one thing: his ideas.  I don't care about his age. I don't care about his sex. I don't care about his sexual orientation. I don't care about his gender. I don't care about his wife. I don't care about the kids. I don't care about what his middle name is. I don't care where he was born. I don't care what his birth certificate says or doesn't say; he is my president, and I don't like his ideas, and I don't have to wait until Inauguration Day to find out what they are.  I already know, because I did what any other American can do and found out.

I am telling you the race industry is only going to get bigger.  It's only going to get more intense.  Any criticism of "The One",  and his ideas? You criticize his ideas, and you are going to be targeted.  They've already made it clear that they're going to target people who don't like Obama's ideas 'cause they've already done it!  They've already gone off on a number of people.  Joe the Plumber is just one example.   By the way, let me remind you of something.  The first person that I know of in this country who called Barack Obama a Chicago thug was Bill Clinton.

It was during the presidential primaries, Democrat primaries when Obama played the race card against Clinton.  He did have the race card played against him and he didn't know what to do about it because he's "the first black president," in his mind.  Now Obama's going to destroy his legacy as well, by the way.  He's going to do his best. It's what's coming.  He has the political instincts of a Chicago thug.  That's what Bill Clinton said.  I'm just in agreement with President Clinton.

I don't think you should be surprised.  This is my point.  This kind of stuff is only going to increase.  They're going to try to intimidate and shut everybody down that has things like this going on.  Satire is not going to be permitted of “The One”

Change is coming!!

If the current polls are accurate, and the current trend continues through Election Day, we are in for some change!! The Democrats will control all three branches of government, and the Supreme Court will become a liberal advocacy group, that will legislate from the bench. Folks, nothing will be there to stop the liberal agenda, they will control everything!! No checks and balances!! Let’s take a factual look at what we can expect.

The Democrats are reviewing an option to take over private 401(k) s!!

Now, the purpose of this plan is they think you'll go for this because you've seen these wild market gyrations, and you've seen your 401(k) plunge, so now they're thinking that you'll go along with the Social Security Administration running your private retirement plan at a guaranteed 3% a year.  The current system of providing tax breaks on 401(k) contributions and earnings would be eliminated, so no longer would you get the deduction off the top of your income for whatever you contribute to your 401(k).  The current system of tax breaks on 401(k) contributions and earnings would be eliminated. Teresa Ghilarducci, "I want to stop the federal subsidy of 401(k)s. 401(k)s can continue to exist, but they won't have the benefit of the subsidy of the tax break."  So that's two people now that want to come along and take away the tax deductibility and subsidy of your 401(k). The government's going to own your 401(k) and your 401(k) will guarantee you just 3% in government bonds administered by the government.  Ghilarducci outlined her plan last year in a paper for the left-liberal Economic Policy Institute, in which she acknowledges that her plan would amount to a tax increase on workers making more than $75,000, considerably less than the $250,000 Barack Obama has said would be his tax-hike cutoff. In addition, workers would be able to pass on only half of their account balances to their heirs, so that your 401(k) would be subject to the 50% death tax rate because the government's going to own it.  Well, my 401(k) in August it was worth a lot of money, and now it's lost. Okay, we'll give you the August value.  Your generous and benevolent government will give you the August value, and then they will take your plan and will put it in the Social Security Administration and will invest your plan in safe bonds at 3% a year, and then when you retire, that money in your 401(k) gets added to whatever your Social, you get one check, your Social Security check.  And in that check will be whatever your retirement account is, and you're essentially giving it up.  You're essentially giving it up401 (k) contributions drive down adjusted gross income.   Once they take that away from you, guess what?  Your tax rate's going to also go up because your adjusted gross income is not going to have your retirement deduction, and guess what this is going to do?  It's going to push more people into Obama's new tax increase bracket.  It's going to push more people over the $250,000-a-year magic number.

Biden guaranteed that Obama would be tested because of his youth and in-experience!!

Obama with another big endorsement, the Iranian parliament speaker says that his country's leaning towards Obama in this election because he is more "flexible and rational."  The Iranian parliament speaker is Ali Larijani and he said yesterday Iran would prefer Obama in the White House next year.

Obama also has the endorsement of the Communist Party USA!!

Folks, this election is very close; Obama’s national lead is closer to 3-4%.  Gallup finds 13% of registered voters saying they will vote for president for the first time in 2008. That matches the figure Gallup found in its final 2004 pre-election poll.  First-time voters, youth voters.  No discernible change in the percentage of first time voters that will vote this election versus 2004.  Pollsters have a sample, 10% greater Democrat than Republican, then they're going to overweight their poll, they're going to go out and get seven to 10% more Democrats in the sample.   The crucial assumption they're making is that there are no Reagan Democrats in this election, that a Democrat is a Democrat down the line and voting for Obama.  So they're assuming that there are no Reagan Democrats.  Reagan Democrats may have no intention of voting for Barack Obama, and we've heard Democrats warn of this.  Some Democrats are conservative in nature, and do not feel comfortable voting for 2 very liberal Democrats. The real question we need to answer is how big is the group of Democrats who will not vote Obama?  And are they being measured accurately?   I don't think they are.  I think the pollsters are assuming that every Democrat is going to vote Obama.  Obama sure the heck is not acting like a candidate 8-10 points ahead!!

The Democrats and Media/Pollsters are doing everything possible to give you the impression that this is a landslide!! Do not show up to vote, it is over. I admit that McCain is behind, but this is much closer, than pollsters are telling you. If Obama goes on to win, I will continue to blog on this site, because I will be busier than ever. I will be posting many “See I Warned You” blogs. Complete Democrat control over our country will be catastrophic, but I will be here to expose all of the Democrat games that they will be playing. I hope and pray that voters come to their senses before Nov 4th and elect John McCain.

Wright 101
Obama funded extremist Afrocentrists who shared Rev. Wright’s anti-Americanism

By Stanley Kurtz

It looks like Jeremiah Wright was just the tip of the iceberg. Not only did Barack Obama savor Wright’s sermons, Obama gave legitimacy — and a whole lot of money — to education programs built around the same extremist anti-American ideology preached by Reverend Wright. And guess what? Bill Ayers is still palling around with the same bitterly anti-American Afrocentric ideologues that he and Obama were promoting a decade ago. All this is revealed by a bit of digging, combined with a careful study of documents from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, the education foundation Obama and Ayers jointly led in the late 1990s.

John McCain, take note. Obama’s tie to Wright is no longer a purely personal question (if it ever was one) about one man’s choice of his pastor. The fact that Obama funded extremist Afrocentrists who shared Wright’s anti-Americanism means that this is now a matter of public policy, and therefore an entirely legitimate issue in this campaign.

African Village
In the winter of 1996, the Coalition for Improved Education in [Chicago’s] South Shore (CIESS) announced that it had received a $200,000 grant from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. That made CIESS an “external partner,” i.e. a community organization linked to a network of schools within the Chicago public system. This network, named the “South Shore African Village Collaborative” was thoroughly “Afrocentric” in orientation. CIESS’s job was to use a combination of teacher-training, curriculum advice, and community involvement to improve academic performance in the schools it worked with. CIESS would continue to receive large Annenberg grants throughout the 1990s.

The South Shore African Village Collaborative (SSAVC) was very much a part of the Afrocentric “rites of passage movement,” a fringe education crusade of the 1990s. SSAVC schools featured “African-Centered” curricula built around “rites of passage” ceremonies inspired by the puberty rites found in many African societies. In and of themselves, these ceremonies were harmless. Yet the philosophy that accompanied them was not. On the contrary, it was a carbon-copy of Jeremiah Wright’s worldview.

Rites of Passage
To learn what the rites of passage movement was all about, we can turn to a sympathetic 1992 study published in the Journal of Negro Education by Nsenga Warfield-Coppock. In that article, Warfield-Coppock bemoans the fact that public education in the United States is shaped by “capitalism, competitiveness, racism, sexism and oppression.” According to Warfield-Coppock, these American values “have confused African American people and oriented them toward American definitions of achievement and success and away from traditional African values.” American socialization has “proven to be dysfuntional and genocidal to the African American community,” Warfield-Coppock tells us. The answer is the adolescent rites of passage movement, designed “to provide African American youth with the cultural information and values they would need to counter the potentially detrimental effects of a Eurocentrically oriented society.”

The adolescent rites of passage movement that flowered in the 1990s grew out of the “cultural nationalist” or “Pan-African” thinking popular in radical black circles of the 1960s and 1970s. The attempt to create a virtually separate and intensely anti-American black social world began to take hold in the mid-1980s in small private schools, which carefully guarded the contents of their controversial curricula. Gradually, through external partners like CIESS, the movement spread to a few public schools. Supporters view these programs as “a social and cultural ‘inoculation’ process that facilitates healthy, African-centered development among African American youth and protects them against the ravages of a racist, sexist, capitalist, and oppressive society.”

We know that SSAVC was part of this movement, not only because their Annenberg proposals were filled with Afrocentric themes and references to “rites of passage,” but also because SSAVC’s faculty set up its African-centered curriculum in consultation with some of the most prominent leaders of the “rites of passage movement.” For example, a CIESS teacher conference sponsored a presentation on African-centered curricula by Jacob Carruthers, a particularly controversial Afrocentrist.

Jacob Carruthers
Like other leaders of the rites of passage movement, Carruthers teaches that the true birthplace of world civilization was ancient “Kemet” (Egypt), from which Kemetic philosophy supposedly spread to Africa as a whole. Carruthers and his colleagues believe that the values of Kemetic civilization are far superior to the isolating and oppressive, ancient Greek-based values of European and American civilization. Although academic Egyptologists and anthropologists strongly reject these historical claims, Carruthers dismisses critics as part of a white supremacist conspiracy to hide the truth of African superiority.

Carruthers’s key writings are collected in
his book, Intellectual Warfare. Reading it is a wild, anti-American ride. In his book, we learn that Carruthers and his like-minded colleagues have formed an organization called the Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations (ASCAC), which takes as its mission the need to “dismantle the European intellectual campaign to commit historicide against African peoples.” Carruthers includes “African-Americans” within a group he would define as simply “African.” When forced to describe a black person as “American,” Carruthers uses quotation marks, thus indicating that no black person can be American in any authentic sense. According to Carruthers, “The submission to Western civilization and its most outstanding offspring, American civilization, is, in reality, surrender to white supremacy.”

Carruthers’s goal is to use African-centered education to recreate a separatist universe within America, a kind of state-within-a-state. The rites of passage movement is central to the plan. Carruthers sees enemies on every part of the political spectrum, from conservatives, to liberals, to academic leftists, all of whom reject advocates of Kemetic civilization, like himself, as dangerous and academically irresponsible extremists. Carruthers sees all these groups as deluded captives of white supremacist Eurocentric culture. Therefore the only safe place for Africans living in the United States (i.e. American blacks) is outside the mental boundaries of our ineradicably racist Eurocentric civilization. As Carruthers puts it: “...some of us have chosen to reject the culture of our oppressors and recover our disrupted ancestral culture.” The rites of passage movement is a way to teach young Africans in the United States how to reject America and recover their authentic African heritage.

America as Rape
Carruthers admits that Africans living in America have already been shaped by Western culture, yet compares this Americanization process to rape: “We may not be able to get our virginity back after the rape, but we do not have to marry the rapist....” In other words, American blacks (i.e. Africans) may have been forcibly exposed to American culture, but that doesn’t mean they need to accept it. The better option, says Carruthers, is to separate out and relearn the wisdom of Africa’s original Kemetic culture, embodied in the teachings of the ancient wise man, Ptahhotep (an historical figure traditionally identified as the author of a Fifth Dynasty wisdom book). Anything less than re-Africanization threatens the mental, and even physical, genocide of Africans living in an ineradicably white supremacist United States.

Carruthers is a defender of Leonard Jeffries, professor in the department of black studies at City College in Harlem, infamous for his black supremacist and anti-Semitic views. Jeffries sees whites as oppressive and violent “ice people,” in contrast to peaceful and mutually supportive black “sun people.” The divergence says Jeffries, is attributable to differing levels of melanin in the skin. Jeffries also blames Jews for financing the slave trade. Carruthers defends Jeffries and excoriates the prestigious black academics Carruthers views as traitorous for denouncing their African brother, Jeffries. Carruthers’s vision of the superior and peaceful Kemetic philosophy of Ptahhotep triumphing over Greco-Euro-American-white culture obviously parallels Jeffries’ opposition between ice people and sun people.

More of Carruthers’s education philosophy can be found in his newsletter, The Kemetic Voice. In 1997, for example, at the same time Carruthers was advising SSAVC on how to set up an African-centered curriculum, he praised the decision of New Orleans’ School Board to remove the name of George Washington from an elementary school. Apparently, some officials in New Orleans had decided that nobody who held slaves should have a school named after him. Carruthers touted the name-change as proof that his African-centered perspective was finally having an effect on public policy. At the demise of George Washington School, Carruthers crowed: “These events remind us of how vast the gulf is that separates the Defenders of Western Civilization from the Champions of African Civilization.”

According to Chicago Annenberg Challenge records, Carruthers’s training session on African-centered curricula for SSAVC teachers was a huge hit: “As a consciousness raising session, it received rave reviews, and has prepared the way for the curriculum readiness survey....” These teacher-training workshops were directly funded by the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Another sure sign of the ideological cast of SSAVC’s curriculum can be found in Annenberg documents noting that SSAVC students are taught the wisdom of Ptahhotep. Carruthers’s concerns about “menticide” and “genocide” at the hand of America’s white supremacist system seem to be echoed in an SSAVC document that says: “Our children need to understand the historical context of our struggles for liberation from those forces that seek to destroy us.”

When Jeremiah Wright turned toward African-centered thinking in the late 1980s and early 1990s (the period when, attracted by Wright’s African themes, Barack Obama first became a church member), many prominent thinkers from Carruthers’s Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations were invited to speak at Trinity United Church of Christ, Carruthers himself included. We hear echoes of Carruthers’s work in Wright’s distinction between “right brained” Africans and “left brained” Europeans, in Wright’s fears of U.S. government-sponsored genocide against American blacks, and in Wright’s embittered attacks on America’s indelibly white-supremacist history. In Wright’s Trumpet Newsmagazine, as in Carruthers’s own writings, blacks are often referred to as “Africans living in the diaspora” rather than as Americans.

Asa Hilliard
Chicago Annenberg Challenge records also indicate that SSAVC educators invited Asa Hilliard, a pioneer of African-centered curricula and a close colleague of Carruthers, to offer a keynote address at yet another Annenberg-funded teacher training session. Hilliard’s ties to Wright run still deeper than Carruthers’s. A close Wright mentor and friend, Hilliard died in 2007 while on a trip to Kemet (Egypt) with Wright and members of Wright’s congregation. Hillard was scheduled to deliver several lectures to the congregants, and to speak at a meeting of the Association for the Study of Classical African Civilization, which he co-founded with Carruthers and other “African-centered” scholars. On that last trip, Hilliard accepted an appointment to the board of Wright’s new elementary school, Kwame Nkrumah Academy. Speaking of the need for such a school, Wright had earlier said, “We need to educate our children to the reality of white supremacy.” (For more on Wright’s Afrocentric school, see “Jeremiah Wright’s ‘Trumpet.’”)

Wright delivered the eulogy at Hilliard’s memorial service, with prominent members of ASCAC in the audience. To commemorate Hilliard, a special, two-cover double issue of Wright’s Trumpet Newsmagazine was published, with a picture of Hilliard on one side, and a picture of Louis Farrakhan on the other (in celebration of a 2007 award Farrakhan received from Wright). In short, the ties between Wright and Hilliard could hardly have been closer. Clearly, then, Wright’s own educational philosophy was mirrored at the Annenberg-funded SSAVC, which sought out Hilliard’s and Carruthers’s counsel to construct its curriculum.

Perhaps inadvertently, Wright’s eulogy for Hilliard actually established the fringe nature of his favorite African-centered scholars. In his tribute, Wright stressed how intensely “white Egyptologists recoiled at the very notion of everything Asa taught.” As Wright himself made plain, it seems virtually impossible to find respectable scholars of any political stripe who approve of the extremist anti-American version of Afrocentrism promoted by Hilliard and Carruthers.

Ayers’s Pals
An important exception to the rule is Bill Ayers himself, who not only worked with Obama to fund groups like this at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, but who is still “palling around” with the same folks. Discretely waiting until after the election, Bill Ayers and his wife, and fellow former terrorist, Bernardine Dohrn plan to release a book in 2009 entitled Race Course Against White Supremacy. The book will be published by Third World Press, a press set up by Carruthers and other members of the ASCAC. Representatives of that press were prominently present for Wright’s eulogy at Asa Hilliard’s memorial service. Less than a decade ago, therefore, when it came to education issues, Barack Obama, Bill Ayers, and Jeremiah Wright were pretty much on the same page.

Obama’s Knowledge

Given the precedent of his earlier responses on Ayers and Wright, Obama might be inclined to deny personal knowledge of the educational philosophy he was so generously funding. Such a denial would not be convincing. For one thing, we have evidence that in 1995, the same year Obama assumed control of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, he publicly rejected “the unrealistic politics of integrationist assimilation,” a stance that clearly resonates with both Wright and Carruthers. (See “
No Liberation.”)

And as noted, Wright had invited Carruthers, Hilliard, and like-minded thinkers to address his Trinity congregants. Wright likes to tick off his connections to these prominent Afrocentrists in sermons, and Obama would surely have heard of them. Reading over SSAVC’s Annenberg proposals, Obama could hardly be ignorant of what they were about. And if by some chance Obama overlooked Hilliard’s or Carruthers’s names, SSAVC’s proposals are filled with references to “rites of passage” and “Ptahhotep,” dead giveaways for the anti-American and separatist ideological concoction favored by SSAVC.

We know that Obama did read the proposals. Annenberg documents show him commenting on proposal quality. And especially after 1995, when concerns over self-dealing and conflicts of interest forced the Ayers-headed “Collaborative” to distance itself from monetary issues, all funding decisions fell to Obama and the board. Significantly, there was dissent within the board. One business leader and experienced grant-smith characterized the quality of most Annenberg proposals as “awful.” (See “
The Chicago Annenberg Challenge: The First Three Years,” p. 19.) Yet Obama and his very small and divided board kept the money flowing to ideologically extremist groups like the South Shore African Village Collaborative, instead of organizations focused on traditional educational achievement.

As if the content of SSAVC documents wasn’t warning enough, their proposals consistently misspelled “rites of passage” as “rights of passage,” hardly an encouraging sign from a group meant to improve children’s reading skills. The Chicago Annenberg Challenge’s own evaluators acknowledged that Annenberg-aided schools showed no improvement in achievement scores. Evaluators attributed that failure, in part, to the fact that many of Annenberg’s “external partners” had little educational expertise. A group that puts its efforts into Kwanzaa celebrations and half-baked history certainly fits that bill, and goes a long way toward explaining how Ayers and Obama managed to waste upwards of $150 million without improving student achievement.

However he may seek to deny it, all evidence points to the fact that, from his position as board chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Barack Obama knowingly and persistently funded an educational project that shared the extremist and anti-American philosophy of Jeremiah Wright. The Wright affair was no fluke. It’s time for McCain to say so.

Explaining Tax Cuts With Beer
A really funny exposition of tax cuts. As the Professor says:
For those who understand, no explanation is needed.
For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible
Worth reading.

EXPLAINING OUR UNITED STATES TAXING SYSTEM WITH BEER

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes
to $100.
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something
like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do.

The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the
arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. 'Since you
are all such good customers,' he said, 'I'm going to reduce the
cost of
your daily beers by $20. Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.'

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first
four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.

But what about the other six men - the paying customers?

How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair
share?'
They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that
from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each
end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that
it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount,
and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before and the first four continued to
drink for free, but once outside the restaurant, the men began to
compare their savings. 'I only got a dollar out of the $20,' declared
the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, 'but he got $10!'
'Yeah,
that's right,'exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too.
It's unfair that he got TEN times more than I!'

'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10
back when I got
only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!'

'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We
didn't get anything
at all. The system exploits the poor!'

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat
down and
had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they
discovered something very important....they didn't have enough money
between all of them for even half of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax
system works. The people who pay the highest taxes DO get the most
benefit from a tax reduction. They also PAY more than the rest. Tax
them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not
show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the
atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Think about it...

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the
economy
was fine. A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) American's were buying new cars, taking cruises,
vacations overseas, living large!...

But American's wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic
Congress and yes--we got
'CHANGE' all right.

In the PAST YEAR:
1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ;
2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;
3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase);
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12
TRILLION DOLLARS and prices still dropping;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
6) THE DOW is probing another low~~

$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL
FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS!

YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE...AND WE SURE GOT IT!

REMEMBER THE PRESIDENT HAS NO CONTROL OVER ANY OF THESE ISSUES, ONLY
CONGRESS.

AND WHAT HAS CONGRESS DONE IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

NOW THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT CLAIMS HE IS GOING TO
REALLYGIVE
US CHANGE ALONG WITH A DEMOCRATIC
CONGRESS!!!!

JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YOU THINK YOU CAN STAND?

Top Hillary Clinton Supporter Endorses McCain; Says "A Lot" More Democrats Will Follow

"Top Hillary Clinton supporter - John Coale - indicating his plans to support John McCain for President. He will be working to help McCain recruit more Democrats to support him, and he tantalizes with the statement there are "a lot" more Democrats who will follow - some that will surprise"

"A top Hillary Rodham Clinton fundraiser threw her support behind Republican John McCain on Wednesday, saying he will lead the country in a centrist fashion and accusing the Democrats of becoming too extreme"

"I believe that Barack Obama, with MoveOn.org and Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean, has taken the Democratic Party — and they will continue to — too far to the left," Lynn Forester de Rothschild said. "I'm not comfortable there."

"Rothschild is also a member of the Democratic National Committee's Platform Committee. She said she would be stepping down from her position on the committee but will not switch political parties"

What are your thoughts?
