jimbobbob made the front page because it is the news medias way of saying the 15 out of 18 was not ignored???

Seriously it is really ticking me off certain things never make headlines in the news.

And I am tired of every time I turn on the news (almost any news media) all I am hearing about is Obama Obama Obama. If you catch it right you might hear a small clip about McCain. Now if you want to hear about the Liberterian or Green candidates contact their offices direct because you sure won't find out about them and what they are doing.

Okay I am now getting down from my soapbox.

now heres how i see it once something has gotten so low that the only way left is positives well its about damn time theres improvements o'er there.

The Democrats have a vested interest in an Iraqi loss. The Dem's receive no political gain if we win or if things go well. What kind of a political party puts their interest in an American military loss??

There is a reason that the Liberal press ignores good news in Iraq!

Oh, man, things are going SO GREAT there - just SUPER, that I kind of wish maybe some of you RIGHT WINGERS would move there!

I mean, things are stable and all and everything is SO WONDERFUL, why don't you consider packing up your guns and SUVs and your American flag displays and move on over there!

On a realistic note, the only thing getting "better" (so to speak) is violence is down, and that's only because Iraq has instituted one of the most oppressive and militant control of its citizens of just about any nation on Earth. I don't count the lack of violence because there is an Army tank with 25 troops with machine guns on every corner as progress.

The real measure is when the strong military oppression is lifted. Then, I'm quite sure we will see a return to the hate-filled fights among religious groups, destroying the country, as it did for 5000 years before Saddam came to power. What we are doing now is NO DIFFERENT from what Saddam did then. And I always figured Saddam HAD to rule with an iron fist, because that is the only way in that land or religious strife. And now we have learned nothing more than the same thing.

Hey, here's a bonus: They don't have a liberal press there in Iraq! It's all government controlled right now! Perfect! You right wingers will ABSOLUTELY love it!

I have to put my 2 cents in. Converting a middle eastern country to a western system is to practice frustration. The only thing we can do is to put in a government that we can some what tolerate. Hey! Worked with Israel didn't it?
Progress is being made. I wish it would have been made faster, but in operations such as this you never know. Look at Afghanistan. Thought it was going good and Boom. Right back where we started from. I am here to tell ya. Middle Easterners is just plain nuts. All that sand and 120 temps boils the gray matter. It doesn't matter if they are Muslims or Camel worshippers. They is plain NUTS!

All Americans benefit from a successful result in Iraq. The only party that does not benefit from a positive outcome in Iraq is the Democratic Party!! No, I am not delusional, have my feet planted in reality. The media tries to distort the truth from the masses, because they have an agenda!

Regarding the problems facing this country, lets trace it back to the source. Since the Democrats took control over Congress/Senate gas prices have climbed 90% and consumer confidence has plummeted. There is a correlation between the Dem takeover and economic stats. It is amazing when you look at it objectively. There policies are the 2nd coming of Jimmy Carter.

As Americans we should all be happy that things are going better in Iraq, it is in all of our interest.
