I'd like to learn more about basic meterology and how to read models.  A textbook type book would be fine.

Any reading material advice for someone who's enthusiastic about the subject matter, but is starting from scratch?

Bonus points for good websites, but I'm really looking for a book to start...

The books I've researched and found to have good reviews are books written by Donald C Ahrens. He writes meteorological books for use in schools and colleges. I've found many on Ebay and other sources on the web.

Look to the left side of the screen under books. These are all great buys for those into weather!
