Well Thursday was coffee night.
Well we don't have a rider anymore and we thought well we can make this one.
So after work we headed to South County.
We got there about 5 P.M knowing people wouldn't start showing until 7. But we thought well we can go ahead and get our supper out of the way and go to some shop's .Then we will have more time to visit.
We order our meal. 2 Italian whatever on ciabatti and Broccoli Soup . Our drink was coffee of course. They, rang it up and it only cost us 8 buck's. We got it 1/2 price as Truman still had his uniform on. How cool was that?
So we ate it is 6 P.M by then. I am freezing.So let's go out and smoke and go to some shop's. Oh no! I say, to much traffic for me to get out there to go anywhere else. We will just sit here drink some coffee and watch for some of them to show up.
OMG the second cup of coffee was awful. I had to dump it out. I said, the first cup was good. Truman said what kind did ya get? I said Dark Roast, he then tell's me he got decaff.
Ok. So we sat and traffic watched ubtil about 6:50 P.M.. Went back in to wait . I changed to a heavier jacket as I knew it was cold in there. I got decaff. OMG! it tasted like the dark roast. I put some 1/2 and 1/2 in it and that didn't help. Did I tell ya yet it was cold in there.?So back out to the truck. We will wait til about 15 after if no one show's we will head home,
Are we at the right place even.
Oh! wait I will call Jana.
Oh! wait I don't have my phone.
Only number in Truman's phone was Goot's. So I call to see if she is coming. Well no she is in Pennsylvania. But she inform's us we are in the right place, if we can see JCPenny.I don't have a pencil can't write down Jana's number.I said ok we will wait a few more minute's. I went in to check and see if someone came in from another direction and nope no one in there. So back out to the truck, As it was to cold to sit in there. Did I tell you that yet?
I get back to the truck and Goot's call's and said Jana won't be there until 7:30. Ok by then I need coffee bad. So we head over to see if we can get to steak and shake from the parking lot. Nope can't get there from here we say.The phone ring's it is Goot's (As Jana has my cell number not Truman's and we have his phone. Sheesh.)you guy's leaving. (Now she is in Pennsyvanis,how does she know that?) No we are looking for coffee. Oh Jana just called and said you left. I said no we are headed back there.
So we get back there and I see Jana in line. We head back to get some water and go back through and no Jana.
I said well shoot maybe it wasn't her,As there was another lady in line with sunglasses on her head. But Truman, I know it was Jana.I am almost sure. She has to be here somewhere. How else did she know we left earlier.
So we sit on the couch for few minute's. It is cold in there and I am trying to drink ice water. As the coffee was awful. Did I tell ya that yet? So back out to the truck to warm up .
So back out to the truck. I called goot's and voice mail.
After a few minute's I look up and see Jana. Finally! So by time we get back there she is inside. She didn't see us and decided to go next door at the clothing place to look around.
Well ya all missed us, as no one else came. Busy life's and kid's. We chatted for about 1/2 hour and we left as we had all had a long trip home.
It would of been nice for more to be there. But we understand busy live's. We had a good cheap supper., icky coffee. The first cup was fine tho. Guess the broccoili soup covered up the taste, I don't know.
Thank's Goot's for being the inbetween for us. OMG! We laughed as here she is in Pennsylvania figuring out who is where for us. I am laughing now thinking about it.
So it might be awhile before we go to another coffee night. It was really hard on us old people especially Truman doing all that driving to work and back home. We did a complete circle Thursday. Plusme with all that traffic. OMG!!!!!(He has never got my brake's fixed where I sit) At least we didn't get skunked tho as we did get to see Jana.
