I was moving the fan and it was hitting this windchime just right. I am trying not to use the air yet. So ceiling fan's and box fan is really making it chime.
Why in the house you ash? I know you didn't ask but I will tell you the story anyway.
Ready.
Let me get some coffee and cigerette first.

OK BACK.
About 30 year's ago if not more but at least 30. We were on our way to Mountain View Mo. to my mom and dad's on vacation. We wnet through Van Buren. We see this sign for a spring so we headed that way. After touring we went to the gift shop. Wow we heard this sound. Truman fell in love with it. We had no money to splurge like that as this thing was 60 or 65 buck's. So we started to leave and he say's I have to have that windchime.( We usually got a windchime from place's we stopped. But never over 3 buck's) Ok we will eat bean's all week there goes the grocery money.
Anyway, I said spending that much on a windchime it isn't hanging outside. In Cahokia we had a screened in back porch. So there is where it hung out of the weather. We would sit and listen to this thing nightly. Drove the kid's crazy at that time when they were out there trying to listen to their music or do homework. (Yeah they did homework once in awhile.) So when we moved here no screened in porch so we hung it here at that time it was bay window's.When he added this room on we hung it back up in that spot. So for 20 year's or so it has hung here.If the fan don't blow it to chime we walk by and hit the clanger to hear it. Nope! It will never go outside unless we have a screened in porch to keep it out of the weather, I have wind chimes in lot's of my window as I can hear them in here. Can't hear them if they are outside and I am not. That is the story of the windchime that cost way to much but we have gotten alot of year's enjoyment from it.

I have the fan moved now and it is just barely hitting sound's like a church bell off in the distance.I mean it is just barely touching the tube's. So relaxing.
It was chiming pretty loud in the video. Usually we have it to were it is real mellow sounding.

That is the most beautiful sounding windchime I have ever heard. They don't make noise but play a melody. Great purchase. Add a screened in porch for jeanette, Truman! :)

That windchime needs a proper home with a breeze!

Yes that is why Truman liked it. Sounded like cathedral bell's to him.
It has a breeze of the fan and I can hear it good right here in puter room. It is just barely hitting the chimes and a real faint sound coming from them. Very peaceful.
I really need to get some brass cleaner and shine her up. Kinda tarnished looking.

It reminds me of a sunday morning walk to the bakery in Europe while all the church towers are making thier music chimes, with sounds coming from many directions. That brought back some memries. Thank you for sharing, that sound brought me a big smile! ;}

Sounds great Jeanette. For some odd reason, I thought it was made out of bamboo. Keep it inside, cause the weather would sure ruin its beauty.

Awesome Jeanette...I love chimes and bells! I did think the sound was coming from outside and the light in the video was the sunrise. You had me going there for a minute girlfriend!

I don't have sound on my puter but I know how they sound. I purchased one similar to yours 2 years ago. These are treated with enamel? i think so they can be outside. I bought them at R&R ACE Hardware in St. Clair. At that time they were over 100. Happiest purchase I ever made...They had all sizes tuned to different tones...some high sounds and some low, all were tuned to be harmonious. Mine are in the low octaves.
