Anyone know of a park that has a fountain for kids to play in. I am trying to find a new park to go to but since it is going to be hot today, I thought I would try and find one with water.
Thanks

They started talking about something that kills EVERYTHING having to do with roaches. I missed the story and I was hoping that someone could fill me in on what the stuff is and if I can get it somewhere. I HATE bugs and I would love to use stuff that works. We only get a few in the basement when it rains and stuff but I would love to NEVER see these things again. Seriously, they make me cry!!

I may not have agreed with some of your comments in the past but this is one post that I agree with you on. Every single point you made was right on!!!!
You may be an angry housewife but if you weren't ticked off about that stuff then you would be an ignorant housewife. I would prefer to be angry in this situation!!!
So kudos to you!!

Okay, so this week was the start of our fun cheap summer activities. First up, the FREE movie at Ronnie's Plaza. I made sure to get there early enough. When, I pulled up an hour early I though, wow, there is no one here. This is going to be EASY. So I went and got in line. There were about 30 kids (one group) in front of me and they got to go right in. It was my turn next and I asked for six tickets. He said we are sold out. What? Sold out? There is no one here. How could you sell out! But they did tell me that I could go stand in another line and they will give out the extra tickets at 9:45. If there are Extra tickets, can't I just get them now? We waiting in line and we did get into the show.
The theater was pretty much empty. I don't understand how they sold out. Apparently there are presales which must have only gone to day cares and summer camps.
What also made things worse, was that about 20 min before I left the house, Fox was at Ronnie's telling everyone to come out to the free movie. There was no mention about a sell out. They were telling everyone one, at every age is welcome. That was BS. I am glad that we got in because I would have had two very upset kids.
Ronnie's needs to get their act together and FOX needs to get ALL the info before they go live.
I am appreciative for the free movie tickets but in the future it would be nice to have all the details.

Hi, summer is right around the corner and my son's last day of preschool is friday. I have a 3 and 5 year old and we want to have a fun, inexpensive summer!! I am looking for some suggestions for field trips for my kids. Of course I have thought of the obvious ones like the zoo, grant's farm and botanical gardens. I am hoping that some people might know of some less obvious places to go.
I am looking forward to your suggestions.
Thanks!!!

Okay, so my husband and I both felt this thing this morning and I said, well this has just showed us how unprepared we are if a big damaging earthquake happens. We have no emergency kit, water saved or anything. The only thing we both knew to do was to make sure our little ones were with us. Fortunately, they always crawl into bed with us in the middle of the night.
After thinking about that I realized that my home owners insurance DOES NOT cover earthquakes. Allstate decided not to cover earthquakes. You actually have to pay more for this coverage. This was my first earthquake that I have felt and now I am thinking that maybe I better call and get the coverage. The only asset we have is our home. If we all survived and our house didn't then we would be pretty bad off.
So, how many of you have earthquake coverage? Maybe I should change insurance companies. Or all they all like this??

Does anyone know if they have sent the winners the email notifications for the tickets for Horton Hears A Who. I entered a million times so that I could take my kids. Just wondering if it is all over.

To the person that has such a problem with High School Musical. I have a 3 and a 5 year old and they absolutly love the HSM movies. I don't think that it is bad for them to watch at all. They love the music and that is what it is about for them. Have you turned on the tv lately. I don't have cable and there are plenty of show far worse than HSM. For example, Family Guy is on 2 times a day and that is a terrible show. Not only that but it is a cartoon which targets children.
Didn't you watch Greece as a child? Well I did and that is even worse than HSM is today. We can't lock our children in the closet and expect them to remain oblivious to everything in today's world.
I find nothing wrong with letting my children sing HSM songs and watch the movie. There are far worse things on television!!
