let me get this straight...what McCain is saying, is...(paraphrased) The American democratic system is so flawed, that we, the people, if we aren't very, very careful, could inadvertantly, unknowingly, misuse our voting power to accidentally vote into the highest office, a close friend of HITLER or even HITLER HIMSELF! Gee...you wouldn't think such an ancient, and grand old system, that so many have died for, could be the venue that allows the American people to make such a big mistake. Is that what he means when he says it is "broke?"

Got a question for anyone who might know. We all know now that flame retardent in our clothes, furniture, etc., etc., is absorbed thru the skin and/or inhaled and stays in ones' body forever and might be, yet another, cause of cancer. Is the flame retardent they spray on wild fires, such as those in California and Florida, one and the same?? Or is that population breathing in a kinder, gentler poison? Love forever and ever... jane

I have 3 questions: 1.) Does Missouri have the Death Penalty? 2.) Is it LEGAL for a judge to pronounce the death sentence and 10 to 20 years down the road, reveal those words as a lie? Does such a pronouncement have a statute of limitations? And lastly, 3.) How do the courts/ the law define DEATH? To me, it is the cessation of breathing. To the Missouri Judicial System, it is: 3 square meals a day, warmth in the winter, cool in the summer, the right to weight training equipment, the chance to earn a college degree while in prison and free medical care.

The year 2008 is a history-making year. 2008 is the first year for the second, female candidate for president of this great nation, the first year for a young, black presidential candidate and first year for the oldest presidential hopeful. " First time for everything; my ears still ring."

On the subject of the child being snatched from the inside of a grade school by a registered and monitored sex offender:
All doors should be locked at school. If ankle bracelets do not monitor an offender's movements, perimeters, and activities, they can then be more decorative and attractive...perhaps adorned with rhinestones or sequins. (about as useful) For several years now I have not been crazy about schools in the US. We have made some astounding advancements in technology but schools have been feeding our kids information in the same, dull, monotonous, droning way since the early 1800's. Teacher up front, kids in seats, quiet, silent, listen, learn (no gum chewing). Even sexual preditors have made great strides. Kids in school are ducks in a barrel. Ask Michael Devlin...he went shopping for his victims in an area that was quiet, "safe" for kids, unprotected and unsuspecting. My point is: In more ways than one, schools are in the dark ages as the darkness of modern times closes in on them.

I suppose pretty soon we will be hearing our landline phones ring, and when we answer, it will be an unsolicited, recorded pitch/advertisement for a particular presidential candidate. I wish the political candidates had to pay for telephone advertising the way they have to pay for television advertising. You know, not a thousand dollars a minute, maybe just 5 or 10% of my phone bill. But hey, I'm just a tiny, voting slob with just that one itsy-bitsy vote and no real choice. I may not want my phone to ring but if THEY want it to ring...it's gonna ring.

If a person has been tazered and it causes them to stagger, be unable to stand, be completely disoriented, and hold their arms out in the hopes of finding something to identify as reality...can't they be overtaken at that point? Apparently they need to be tazered one or two more times. I mean if you can't just tazer a person once and obtain the desired results, I must ask what are the desired results? Must they be rendered completely unconscious? Maybe the tazer guns aren't strong enough if they have to be used two and three times on one detainee. Is law inforcement required to meet a quota of so many tazer applications on one person?

I just love our new trend of deviant behavior! By some genetic fluke criminals are now offing themselves just before capture. The mindless American viewing public thereby avoids various court preliminaries, legthly trials and reschedulings thereof, not to mention cost, disappointing, unjust, anticlimatic verdicts and death sentences that promise 3 square meals a day for the rest of a criminal's life or possible prarole. What I am curious about is whether more black criminals commit suicide than white criminals. I guess I started really noticing this phenomenon when the Columbine killers committed suicide. We even had one these unique suicides here in Hermann. Terribly considerate of the criminal element to do this, don't you think? Course 20 years of BOOGEDY is not anything to look forward to but it certainly is a trendy thingy isn't it? I love it. Thank you bad guys and thank you armed police forces for your efforts and storehouse of justice. Love you guys.

Everyone in Hermann should have been born breach!! That way they are in a perfect position for the Hermann Utilities to STICK IT TO THEM. Quite simply: My 97 year old mom's electric bill for January was $180 -- her bill for February is $375. As residents of Hermann it's mostly our backs that hurt, from bending over SO HERMANN UTILITIES CAN STICK IT TO US!!!!! It's a perfect set up for skimming. Why would they do this??
'cause they can. Who can stop 'em?
