This morning my oldest is watching the movie 8 below with Paul Walker (ya know the guy from the fast and furious movie).  It's about sled dogs trapped at the south pole.  It is a great movie for the whole family to watch together.

So my question is what is your families favorite movie to sit down and watch together?

Loved the 8 Below movie. I think a great movie to watch with the family is "Facing the Giants". Good clean film with a positive side.

Loved Eight Below and loved Facing the Giants!! I cried hard in both of them, and I don't cry easily!

We watch old Westerns constantly...my kids love them so that, or deer hunting videos, are on a lot at our house. I don't watch much tv at all, so I will sit there with them and BLOG instead!!

I've never heard of facing the giants! I haven't seen old yeller in years and years. Veronica is into High School Musical but I'm not into it..seems like a bad rip off of Grease!

Ewwww no Nightmare on Elm Street or Halloween movies for me. YUCKY and definately not family friendly.

When I think family friendly, of course depending on how old the children are, I think of movies that are PG or PG-13. I like the old Shirley Temple movies and anything with Jimmy Stewart in it.

I also think that most would enjoy watching The Final Countdown about the U.S.S. Nimitz going back in time to Pearl Harbor. What a engrossing film. I still have to watch it every time it comes on.

Anything Disney will always bring the family together at our house. No matter how old my kids are, they always come back to the Disney flicks.
