Nothin' like a nice evening and a ride of the back of a motorcycle to relax ya!!  Friday night I told my first motorcycle ride in 2 years.  Last summer I was pregnant with Gabby and couldn't ride.  This year so far has just been CRAZY...between my husband starting a new job, my dad being sick, and a new baby plus a six year old you sometimes just can't find the time.  But Friday night I had to take the girls over to my mom and dad's to spend the night since me and my husband had to work Saturday, when I got home my husband was on his way out the door to put the motorcycle away for the night.  He has been driving it to work some days because of gas prices.  I thought hey we have an empty house....we can actually take a ride on the bike!!!  So off for a quick trip around town...what a way to relax!!!!

I used to love being on my bike... I guess in Desoto its still fun but up here you have to fear for your life with the Traffic and nutty drivers..... So i havnt rode in years.... Think ill become a jeep guy in my old age....

You both are right it's the other guys you have to worry about...my husband and my dad had to go pick up a part up in the city one day and ended up on 270 at evening rush hour...no way in you know where!

In my Motorcycle years...It was a Two Lane Highway out here and you could ride for an Hour and maybe see 20 to 30 cars....Now i see that many before i get out of my subdivision....

No big holes in the road back then either

I ride mine all the time but very selective where. I am building a 1973 cafe racing bike (at a very slow pace, have all the parts just not the time). After I came out of my coma and had health issues with no income for 4 years I was forced to sell my harley, I miss it. I drive a 1969 honda scrambler (on/off road rally bike) now, better than nothing. After I finish restoring my 1960 pontiac (again have all the parts but no time) (90% done) I will take the money to build a custom chopper. My plate is overflowing...can you tell! I avoid anything near the hwy for sure. I love the freedom feeling a bike gives.

(Sorry if this story is redundant to some of you), but at one time, my ONLY transportation was a Triumph 750. (for 6 months, but in a warmer climate.) The boyfriend at the time had sold his Mercury Cougar, so all we had was my beloved '71 'Cuda. Well, he got loaded one night and drove it nose first into a canal.(totaled, of course.) With the insurance money we could only afford a motorcycle, so took a gamble...no regrets! Loved it...

Was it a classic triumph? They are so cool. 71 cuda was allways one of my dream cars(in the top ten). Way out of my price range now.

Crick...you are so cool!

Stephan...not my business, but what happened that you were in a coma?

iluvmygirlz: riding with someone on a bike is awesome....driving it yourself is exhilarating! You gotta get your own bike, girl!

stephan- The Triumph was a very early '70s model, would need to look at the original bill of sale (which I still have) to be sure, but loved that car. Another sad fact was that the insurance co. settled with me for only $400. (blue book) and prior to that, had been repeatedly offered $2000-$3000. (I did not want to sell at any price!-at least still have some pictures of it :(

OMG michelle no way I would ride my own...I tried once, I still have the scars on my legs and the thought I broke my elbow!! My husband and dad told me that the bike was just to big for me...but it was enough to scare me
