Once again ladies and gentlemen, I will be moving. Hopefully here within the next couple of days both Gary and I will be moving out of this dumpy trailer park and into a house (and yippee, it has a basement lol). The house sits on almost a full acre of land, two bedrooms, full basement, one bath, a kitchen and living room. It needs some work to it but any house you get now a days needs work. Its closer to work for the both of us, its two blocks behind where Gary works and about on estimate, 9 blocks from where I work. We already know the neighbors, its a nice neighborhood, quiet, nice big porch on it. But hopefully, maybe, we'll be starting the move Tuesday or Wednesday so if I'm not on here for quite a while (longer than my normal lol) its because we're moving.

One hundred and twenty counts of sexual misconduct have been placed on a sexual predator. Police claim it all happened to children ranging from the ages of 1 to 8 between the time of November 2007 and April 2008. Whats funny is that the state of illinois has just gotten rid of the death penalty....gees, just in time for people to start committing all these crimes and they get a free ride in prison, we pay for their housing, their meals and their clothing and medical, I'm sure he's feeling so bad about himself. We all know he'll get life in prison but is that really enough? He molested, raped, sodomized and everything else to these children and now they'll probably grow up having problems because of it and he gets off with a slap on the hand.  I hope he doesn't have kids of his own. I think what we need to do is incorporate the judicial system of Romania, if you swear they cut out your tongue, if you rape a woman they chop off (well you know), if you hit someone, they take your hands. That would stop all these rape cases and murders, abductions and drug dealings. It would be strict but I bet it would make quite a difference. I check the Illinois Sex Offender List every so often and its sad to say that every time I check it, it gets bigger and bigger. Whats your take on this sicko? Personally, I think he needs to be castrated lorena bobbit style.

As of yesterday the Exxon in Mount Vernon is shut down, they got busted for price gouging. They had their gas sign set at 3.89 so naturally everyone is going to go there and get gas (duh) but when they filled up or got gas and went inside to pay they soon found out they hadn't changed their sign to what the real gas price was. The real gas price was $7.45!! They got busted when a truck driver filled up with 380 gallons and his ticket came to almost $3,000 and when his company got the fax for the wire to pay his gas they flipped out which is natural. They called Illinois State Police and the police called the feds out of Kansas City, they took in the manager (from his own house), the assistant manager, and the three clerks and arrested them all. They shut down that gas station and posted on the news if anyone goes to stop there they'll be arrested for trespassing. Gas was $7.45 and diesel was $6.50 but gas was posted at $3.89 and diesel was posted at $4.09. Just goes to show what goes around comes around, they tried to price gouge and got busted for it.

Today I've got the day off and instead of going over to the other trailer to work on it I'm taking the day off from it too. I'm really not feeling all that well anyhow, I've got a cut in my gum so my gum and cheek is swollen plus it hurts. Plus, I think I've got whats been going around, a few people at work have been sick and Gary's been sick with headache/fever/upset stomach. I've got a slight fever and a headache, the upset stomach really hit last night so its a good thing I've got today off. Still reading Sweetwater Creek, haven't really had a lot of time to read lately though it is a good book.

Yesterday sure was something else. I worked the morning shift which is a split shift so I come home from 8:15 to 10:30 and I couldn't even get home, they had Route 4 shut down by the Catholic church because the water was so bad, a few cars had stalled there so it was blocked off and so was the road by the nursing home because it was flooded. So, I ended up staying at the store during my break, got soaked in the process of trying to go home so it was a long cold day after that lol. No damage here at my house, just some debris in the road...branches and that sort. It was interesting at work, I watched things float down the road.

If you ask me though I think winter isn't too far off, the colder days and especially mornings, from what the weather forecasts say next month the highs are only supposed to be in the 60's. I'm ready for it, I love to watch the seasons change...not to mention decorating for the seasons lol. I've got it decorated right now for autumn, been buying little things here and there for Christmas decorating. Anyhow, not much has been going on here, just been working and yes I enjoy this job, need to get something to eat, just don't know what yet. Anyhow, I'll talk more later on.

Good morning everyone. I came on fox 2 to see the recent news and saw the news of the mountain Lion in Jefferson County! I'm guessing that someone was setting traps and thats why it went roaming into the county. The area they're saying it might have been in is a subdivision too, all of the houses sit on like 4-5 acres and if it attacked a horse it has the taste for hunting now, I just hope it doesn't get a hold of a person. Basically about the only other animal that people have to worry about is black bear. Its cute to watch the cubs but you pay for it if you mess with them because mom isn't too far away watching her cubs.

As for news on the home front not much has changed, work is going good at Casey's, I'm cooking there which is nice because I like to cook. It can be go two ways, it can be rushed or it can be slow, last night was sort of slow so I took the time to stock up on stuff. Plus, I'm getting more hours there than I was at Rural King and its like a little family at Casey's, its a more relaxed environment mentally. On the home front, we're doing okay I guess, Gary's working overtime from 5-7 p.m. since they took on their nights again. So he works 5:30-1:00 then goes back and does 5:00-7:00 except on his days off and Saturday and Sunday unless they need him. Right now I'm reading a book called Sweetwater Creek, its alright, I'd rather have a mystery though lol.

I work tonight 4-11:15, got up with Gary at 3:00, that way I can spend time with him and also so I can stay up for a couple of hours and sleep during the day instead of being up all day and being tired when I go into work. I've got tomorrow off so I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do if I do anything at all since its supposed to rain. By the way, thanks Sue for the cucumbers, we cut some up and ate them in slices and others we fried, not too bad. The park is nice and quiet now, now that we got the trouble maker out, its peaceful. Well, anyhow, enough for now, I'm gonna relax for a little bit, and go back to bed. Have a good day everyone!

Where have all the rabbits gone? I had a big rabbit that liked to sprawl underneath the steps and two baby ones who liked to chase each other around the yard and I haven't seen any of them for quite a while. I guess they are getting ready for winter. I'm ready for winter to be here, I like watching the snow fall and the warm air inside the house and the cocoa in the mornings, being wrapped up in a blanket. Almost paints a Thomas Kinkade picture. I like the fall, to watch the trees change colors and watch the squirrels as they gather their food for the winter, its pretty, the nice days and cool breeze at night with a clear sky and bright stars. The only thing I don't look forward to and I'm hoping we don't have problems like last year is water breaks and freezes in these trailers. Me and Gary spent most of last year during the winter fixing water main breaks around the trailer park, hauling water out of the mains to try and turn it off and fix the leak with the wind whipping through you and its only 5 degrees outside, that was a pain.

I finished my book Full Bloom and now I'm onto Cloud Nine by Luanne Rice, its pretty good so far. Might lay down here in a little bit seeing as how I go in at 4 and work until 11:15, I'm going to need my rest, been up since 3 a.m. But first, laundry has to get done, so I'll fold them clothes and put the others in the dryer and be done until those get done. Anyhow, laundry isn't getting done by me sitting here typing lol.

Early this morning a sixteen year old lost his life because another teenager decided to take it by shooting him. This is how violence escalates, one kid picks on another and the school does absolutely nothing about it until something such as this incident happens. Where are the principals in all of this, the  counselors who are supposed to be there to help? Do they wonder why they have to worry about kids bringing guns to school....there should be a message loud and clear right there! I've experience bomb threats during middle school but I lived in a small town and their reasoning was to call in to get out of a test so we pretty much knew it was a lie. During high school a kid filled ball point pens with mace and sprayed a bunch of us, sending us to the hospital but thats the worst it's gotten. I admit, some kids do it because they just feel like it, they get a high off of it but 96% of the time its due to bullying....I say this needs to end! Every school should have peer counseling or counseling to deal with these issues, make sure the students are safe and well maintained physically and emotionally. Its high time the principals, teachers, and counselors got off their butt and do something to help with the situation other than write it off.

So far I've been at Casey's three days, I like it. I've been doing the morning donut shift, split shift from 4-8:15 in the morning, come home and go back in and do 10:30-2. The donut shift is a little hectic but I guess once I get in a pattern it won't be as bad and rushed as it has been. The afternoon shift isn't bad at all, make a couple pizzas, couple hamburgers, chicken tenders, and some other items and thats about it. The donuts and keeping up on sandwiches and pizza and biscuits and gravy and cookies in the morning is what makes it hectic, mainly all the donuts. But I do like it. I went in and did 4-8:15 and had the rest of the day off and I've got tomorrow off so I'm enjoying them. It looks as though on the radar we're going to get some rain shortly, remnants of tropical storm Fay.

On other news, not that its important, I finished reading the book The Woman Next Door by Barbara Delinsky (very good book) and I finished reading Ready for Love by Debbie Macomber (my top favorite author). Now I'm onto Full Bloom by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes, its alright so far. Hopefully, Saturday we'll have tv again. The gentleman who installed it the first time only came and installed the wire and dvrs and left, didn't set them up or anything, turns out he installed it incorrectly and thats why we have no service (short on payment so it was shut off but we got caught up and no service). They have to come back out and reinstall the whole thing. This was the same gentleman who told me about 6 months ago that my audio problem was caused by my furnace. They wanted to charge us for this month and I told them I wasn't paying for a service I haven't had since the end of July.

But anyhow, if anyone knows of any good books and would like to share I'd love to know, I'm always looking for a good read. I can put descriptions in here as well about the books I read.

According to scientists, now they are saying that a big foot is a cross species of an ape and an opossum....but what I don't understand is if they're correct how does it get to be seven feet seven inches tall? I know apes get big but for the life of me I've never heard of one that big. Scientists say the dna samples they took may have been contaminated so they're pulling for time to do more to accurately see just what this is. I can't say for truth that it doesn't exist because we've never really seen it, only had traces of evidence but at the same time I can't say that it isn't real because it could be a hoax from day one. Its just the same with everything else that we hear about but are not really sure to take serious and believe in them, such as ufo's and the mythical unknown. However, I must admit, I do believe in ghosts and another world beyond death instead of persay going to heaven or down below. By us believing in something does it make it partially real?

So they say the elusive Big Foot has been caught....not. Yahoo shows the cnn video clip of the apparent Big Foot and you can clearly tell its a dummy body just by looking at the eyes. The two men who found it have been caught once before in the past creating a Big Foot hoax, saying they caught it. They also said they saw several of them, is it a single reproduction animal? If its male can it produce offspring? It was a little far fetched to be seeking one and now there are several. And according to scientists it prefers woodlands and a colder climate.....so what was it doing in Georgia....vacationing?? I myself believe it is a hoax....next thing you know someone will claim they caught the Loch Ness Monster on their zebco fishing pole.

It took me 14 minutes and 55 seconds to get from home to Casey's on my bike by way of the bike trail. However, I think that will be the last time I ride my bike there though, the sidewalks leading to Casey's are way too rough, half of them are in pieces and I don't want to mess my bike up but if I ever do decide to ride my bike to work at least I know how long it will take me. As for our conversation last night and you know who was in chat, with the whole mail issue/person issue I went to the police department today and talked to the officer that patrols our park. He told me its probably just a mistake, there may have been a trailer here before this one (doubt it) but he took the information down and said he would make a report on it just in case someone does try to mess with us. He said its not criminal now but he's going to look into it. As far as Rural King, I went in to get my check today and didn't get it, all of the forklifts were broken and they had 4 trucks...haha...shows them. So I'll call later or get it tomorrow. Stopped at Toni's and got my usual, they were surprised to see me ride up on a bike but I did. And the ladies at Casey's are so nice, talked to the manager again today just chit chatting and another lady, I can't remember her name but she was nice too.

For all of those who read my blog I'll update you on yesterday. I went in to the interview and we talked, she told me if I decided to take the job it'd be anywhere from 20-25 hours starting out and hopefully the hours will pick up afterwards. She asked why I wanted to leave Rural King and I told her the multiple reasons and she asked if I wanted the job. I told her I'd take it and I have to go in Sunday at 7-7:30 to fill out my paperwork. My last day at Rural King is Sunday, no more having to put up with all the stuff. I'll be getting up at the same time Gary does and I'll get home an hour after Gary does so our schedules kind of fit together at least for now which is nice because we can spend time together. I'll be starting out in the kitchen and then I'll be on the register and I love to bake so it'd be kind of nice. Plus, its two miles away from my house, I can take the trail to work if I want to, gas will be cheaper now and if something were to happen to Gary, I wouldn't have to take the time coming from Litchfield to get home. I told them last night at work my last day was going to be Sunday and surprisingly enough they took it well. So, now I'll be working at the Casey's in Benld.

Good morning everyone who reads this. I got up this morning and decided to call Casey's there in Benld, put in an application I believe it was Saturday. Something just told me to stick with this and keep not per say bugging them but calling them so I called them this morning and the manager said she was actually getting ready to call me back today so she asked if I could come in today for an interview at noon and of course I said alright. I work at Rural King today but if she gives me a job I'm not too worried about it, I don't think an interview will last two hours. It would be nice to get the job at Casey's, I'd be closer to home, I'd be closer to Gary when he goes to work or if something happens I don't have to waste time getting here, if I work an evening to night shift I only have two miles to go to get home and you never know she may give me more hours than I'm getting at Rural King. Plus, I doubt they feel like they have to make their employees feel like idiots like Rural King does, they probably respect their employees much more. But anyhow, I'll update once I get a chance to today. Wish me luck!

I know I got all excited about the move to Missouri but soon to find out there were more problems with the house than I originally anticipated. First, it was the septic tank, it wasn't sitting level (the guy put it on pea gravel and just left it, didn't level it), then we had the roof that had to be replaced because its over 30 years old and with all the storms they get it had storm damage. Then, after that it was the siding (wood siding) and it had major termite damage so basically right there it would have been a choice to tear it down and start over. After that the judge calls us and says the lady who is selling it with her soon to be ex-husband wanted to move back in because she got evicted from her apartment for not paying rent, said she begged and begged and he told her she'd have to pay the state taxes which came to 5,000 dollars. By that time I was so fed up with stuff I said we're not buying it, if we want to we'll go somewhere else. But now with Gary working at Toni's and me working at Rural King we're thinking about just buying the trailer we're in, the only bad thing about it is there isn't a basement. I agree with him, we are settled and we're established and I really don't want to have to pack again (hate packing) so it looks like we're staying in Illinois. We might eventually move the trailer to a different location but no time soon though. So yes, we're staying here like it or not everyone lol j/k.

Its a bit chilly this morning, soon enough I'll be turning on my heater lol. Gary had the air on last night and it was COLD brrrrrrrr. Well, today I'm going to call a few places and see who is hiring. I didn't quit Rural King but I'm looking because these flip flopping hours each day is getting to me especially to where I'm falling asleep at the wheel when I work nights. You work days, evenings, nights, afternoons, whatever they decide to have you work, it'd be nice to find somewhere that has a set schedule rather than well here's your schedule and I work 8-4 one day, 3-9 the next and 9-6 the next and 3-9 or 9-3 or something like that, its never set. I'm going to try and find something to where I can work in the mornings and into the afternoon since Gary got a job and he'll be working 6 days a week 8 hours a day and the only day off he has is Monday and we already know he'll get off at 2 or 3 and its hard enough to spend time with him now so I'm going to be looking for something. Wish me luck.
