Metro Transport Metro Transport has been plaqued by problems be it finacial or ethical, now in a time when more people are trying to save $ and be more enviornmentally responsible I see a braoadcast where "gangs" (they were termed MOBS on the news cast!) are attacking and robbing Metro clients. I have at times been with out a vehicle for at least a year due to finacial issues and HAD to use Metro. Saint Louis HAS to address are public transport system to maintain and increase our competition to bring new business to Saint Louis. Anyone who has been to New York, San Fransisco or D.C. has experienced what Saint Louis needs. The highway 40 project should have included a track right down the middle for the Metro trains! The broadcast said that officials were forming a task force to deal with the new problems; that should have been in the works when ridership was increasing because of the gas increases. This is our city and we need to get serious about quality, available public transport. I live off Grand Avenue close to Chippewa and I have used the busses in that area when I had no alternative; the experiences were always bad. Dirty busses with drivers who did nothing to riders who were disrespectful to other riders, LATE OR NO SHOW BUSSES WHILE "OUT OF SERVICE" BUSSES PASSED BY! WAKE UP AND MAKE METRO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER! TAKE A RIDE IN THE CITY AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOUR EXPERIENCE IS LIKE! OUR CURRENT SYSTEM IS TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE POOR AND LIMITED SERVICE IT PROVIDES! LET METRO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THEIR BAD "TRACK" (HA HA) RECORD!
