Deb's thoughts

Lee Nixon was murdered this morning at a club in Washington Park IL.

I don't know why I couldn't find the story on here, it is on other channels and in the St. Louis American.

My prayers for his family, he will be dearly missed.

It's been on the news at 5 and 9 today.... It's not on the blogs because nobody has written about it yet but you have now so maybe people will express their thoughts here.....

It is sad that a nice old guy has to get gunned down for no reason..... He was probably at the wrong place at the wrong time.......

Crime has been claiming a lot of collateral in the past few years..... There is no regard for nobody..... They are shooting Kids, Cops , and innocent bystanders.... It's not safe for noone these days......

Welcome to the Blogs......

Thank you mr_wildflower, I didn't see the news at 5, but I did see the story at 9. "Nice old guy" Lee would have laughed at that! He was a nice man, never heard anything spoken against him in 25 yrs. I'm tired of people dying, a co-workers brother-in-law was shot and killed a few weeks ago, my own son was a victim of a car jacking and murdered 7 yrs ago.

I just don't understand.

chickenkiller -that was what he did. He went to all the clubs and sold his roses. You're right tho, we always told him to be careful, but he's just smile and keep going. He's been doing it for 30 yrs.

The last couple of months I have come to realize how blessed I am. I recently received a promotion at work, our company is for some strange reason, flourishing in this economical crisis, I received good news on the results of my MRI. I have been having strange headaches which they have now decided are Occipital Migraines. I really am blessed, I am in good health, my children and grandchildren are in good health, I have a job (these days that is the best blessing), a home, good friends, and food to eat. I am thankful for all these blessings. I am not trying to sound like I am bragging, I am truly thankful!
