Gray Skies Are Gonna Clear Up....!

Hey Dan...

Alright, I just finished reading it and I am just so excited for someone else to read it so we can discuss the whole thing!

This book is by Don Piper and Cecil Murphy, but is Don's story about his collision with a semitruck back in 1989....he was pronounced dead at the scene and covered with a tarp. An hour later, this preacher came along and felt that God was telling him to pray for this dead man. The EMT's laughed at him and acted as though he was crazy, but he prayed anyway, harder than he ever had. After a while, this preacher began to sing "What a Friend We Have In Jesus", and all of a sudden, Don began to softly SING WITH HIM. During the previous hour and a half, Don had experienced heaven. His account of it is so real, that it makes you almost feel like you've been there. I have never read a death/heaven experience like this one. In the past, I sometimes even felt skeptical that maybe the person WANTED to have a story so badly that they had convinced themselves that it had really happened. That wasn't the case with this book. You will read it and you will be convinced of it all. WOW!! Getting this book was one of the best Christmas presents I ever received....

my friends daughter read the book and she tells everyone about it all the time, she called in sick to work cause she couldnt put the book down when she started reading it... i havent read it

Michelle & Rosie, Powerful stuff! I get the impression that this book has crossed out of Christian circles and is being widely read in the general public. I can see myself losing sleep to finish the book.

Harp, I could tell you all about that book. I would love to tell you all about it! You are all welcome to borrow my copy of it, just as soon as Dan finishes it....I can't pressure him too much about it, since he gave it to me in the first place....HA! When I read a book like that, I like to write little notes in it as I'm reading. Then when friends borrow it, I love it if they write their own little comments along the way and put their initials there. It's fun to share books that way. So feel free to give me a shout and say that you want to read it next (Hurry up Dan!!)
