Who would you like to have seen and heard , and maybe miss, from the past for whatever reason?  Some of my choices (in no particular order)...Buddy Holly, Jerry Garcia, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Freddy Mercury, Duane Allman, and of course Janis, Jimi, Jim Morrison, John L.,George H. ,- Keith Moon and John Bonham left us too early, too.

No surprise here, asmerelda! Ya know, when I first thought of this, was thinking strictly "deceased" musicians, but then thought of when I had free tickets/bs passes to Bruce Springsteen (within front 7 rows) in the 80's, but whined beacause I had "no one to go with!"...too bad E-Bay wasn't around then...

cricky, you really need to check out the dvd A Concert For George. It is killer. It has georges son, eric clapton, billy preston, ravi shankar, tom petty, ringo and paul, and a whole lot of other musicians. it's really worth buying it. I'd give it a 5 star rating.

imapayne, thanks for mentioning the "George Tribute"-you're not the first one and know it must be good...Mr._W, thanks for the Roy O. clip...This may be redundant, but Roy was Elvis's favorite vocalist and if you've never heard his duet with kd lang on "Crying", you need too-though it may bring tears...beautiful!

I would be there for that also. I have seen Paul, Ringo and George in concert. Missed John that a&& killed him before I got to see him.
One I forgot before is Richie Valenz and Johnny Cash. So many have left us that I will miss. Like Harry Chapin and Jim Croce or especially Stevie Ray Vaughn. That man could play like no one else!
Roy Orbison had the voice in rock n roll. No one should sing his songs altough I have tried in the past.

mechany-I was fortunate to see Harry Chapin at my first concert, '74(?) Billy Joel opened for him-but of course, was pretty young and stupid back then, so didn't appreciate it at the time.
