My ancestors founded Byrnesmill! Too bad about the PD. Hope it works out for you all!

Funny thing, much of the problem in Byrnesmill is they try to keep out the riff-raff, and the excessively fast drivers. If you all really knew what was going on, you might see differently. First, yes, the police chief has limited personality. He is not mean, he just doesn't put up with stupid or disrespectful people. A long straight stretch of Highway 30 runs right through the middle of Byrnesmill, right out to Northwest High School, A great place for kids to drag race, and they do!! I witnessed multiple accidents while my daughter was attending NHS from kids in a race to get home first. Secondly, my dad is with BMPD, and has told me that they don't write tickets unless someone is 10 or MORE mph OVER the limit. The people who get tickets under that were rude, disrespectful. or otherwise jerks to the officers. I have known several of them for years, and they are good people trying to make a difference. Don't like it, vote in a new police chief.

also, my son has donated over $900.00 in fines shelled out by the stupid police dept.

If you think I'm lying go to night court up there then tell me that story again.

Excuse me, you can dispense with the name calling. I didn't do that to you, and I certainly could have. It's probably comments like that and your attitude that landed you the ticket to start with. I speed through there all the time, but I stay under the 10, and I have NEVER been oulled over. If I were, I certainly wouldn't call a stranger A liar. You just lost all credibility with me. That was really immature. If you don't like4 Byrnesmill, and they have mistreated you so badly, drive around it or obey the speed limit laws.

for one,hwy.30 is a state hwy.,not byrnesmill and if you did get pulled over,you'd probably get off because your dad is a cop for them and you know others that work there.and as for them being 'good people trying to make a difference' oh they're making a difference alright,making their little police department richer.They need to close it down and make them all get real jobs.

my oldest kid lives just outside bm, so i travel thru there about 5 times a week or so. was pulled over by the older cop one sunday night for doing 76 down 30. after hearing my story( i was taking some homework back to my son he had left at my house), i was let off with a warning. oh yeah, i didn't have my license with me, and a black friend of mine was in the car. just a warning. nice cop. just my 2 cents, i don't have any other affiliation w bm
