Hendrix Grave

We live in Kent, Washingon which is about half an hour drive from Renton Washington where Jimi Hendrix grave is.  When friends come into town we drive over to visit. Sometimes there are lots of little hippie kids hanging around, playing guitar, burning incents & stuff. He used to have a normal flat headstone with a guitar on it but now they have erected a Memorial for him. It is a small stone pavillion with seats. It is in Greenwood Cemetery. It is very interesting. Seattle is well known for it's music scene.

Hey Cimmo.... You are probably the biggest Hendrix fan alive..... I love his music also.... He died way before his time..... Would have loved to see him do some crossroads gigs in his older age.... Could you imagine him mixing some of his blues roots in some of the new country styles........ I think I would like....

I like Hendrix but hubby has all of his music... He is a HUGE die hard Jimi Hendrix fan. When we went to Vegas to the wax museum, he was so excited they had a version of Jimi! LOL! Cimmo.... If you have pics that would be neat.....

Hendrix was way cool!! Sorry but we do not have a digital camera. Although there is a photo of his old grave on cimmo's photos.

I'm taking my wife to Alaska next year, we'll have to stop in on the way!

I'm a pretty huge Hendrix fan myself! There was a several year stretch of time where I started every day with his version of the Star Spangled Banner! (Oh yeah, my neighbors loved me)

Also, I worked with a guy that swears that he knew Jimi when he lived in Nashville for a while. (not sure of it's authenticity) He said he was always inside playing his guitar! They got him to come out and play football only once. ??

I hope you have a great time in Alsaka. We went there two summers ago. It is beautiful. We flew into Juneau & then we took the ferry to Haines & Skagway. Everyone should try to make it to Alaska at least once in their lifetime!!
