OK, OK.....I know this is a competitor station....but , hey , they were the only station to cover this !!!!

My dtr in law won FIRST PLACE in the Loeb Achievement for Science and Math Award for teachers....35 finalists....5 honorees.....3 - $500 third place awards....1 - $2000 2nd place...and 1- $3500 first place award....!!

This took place yesterday at the Science Center....ahem...ahem...ahem....really close to channel 2!!

Strange things happenin in my neighborhood yesterday!!

First, our garage door would not open with our car clicker..first my husbands... then mine when I got home from work.

All of a sudden the guy across the streets garage door kept going up and down, up and down and then just a little up and then half way...looked like it was going to music!! but....right before that...when I pulled onto my street...there were 7 police cars and almost as many fire vehicles....for a house around the corner....I thought someone had been killed or held hostage with so many vehicles. Ended up no one home and couches caught on fire..hmmmm....

Could all of this have something to do with the power outage at the Mall??? ( Well, not the fire)  I live behind Mehlville HS..which is about a mile from the Mall.

Just heard on another channel this is the anniv of the 1906 earthquake...it happened at 5?am on that date....

My grandftr was there during that earthquake...he was a fisherman off Alaska and California at that time.

I cant remember the last time I felt an earthquake...probly when I was in high school....or before!!

It was about 10 or 15 min ago...around 440am....it lasted for a little bit too!! Things were actually shakeing in my bedroom.....WEIRD SENSATION!!!

In June of 2006 I received 2 credit card bills totalling around $850 for Direct TV. I dont have and never had Direct TV.

I just received in the mail an add for Direct Tv...it had my address and the name in the address window and also on the Dear.....line was : Hddghh Oiefhfhf.....

I called the company and said those letters and they showed up on their list of either customers or mailing list. How can that be??

We never found out who exactly charged the $850 to my credit card, which, incidently, hadnt been used in around 8 months, so it really stuck out since those were the only charges on the bill. They came in 2 billing cycles and were a total of 3 charges.

Kinda scary!!

Did anyone have trouble getting onto anything fox2 or ktvi related?? This is the first time, 1134 am, that I am able to get on here or view anything to do with fox2. I am soooo, glad, I was beginning to have withdrawal here!!! And it werent pretty!!

I was so excited!!

While on the internet yesterday, I saw that my cousin in Augusta, Sicily had signed on in Yahoo Messenger. The last time and only time I have seen that part of my family was in 1992 when my mother and I and 2 of my children went to visit.

It was great! About 10 members of my family were all celebrating at the one cousins house....I got to see and talk to all of them...only a couple speak English...and only after my technical difficulties in sound were corrected. That was the hilight of the day, since we had celebrated Christmas the night before and all the kids had other things to do on Christmas day.

The wonders of computers and the internet...If only this existed 45+ years ago and I could have seen my only living grandparent, since all died before I was born, and he lived in Sicily and I never met him.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !!!!!

The 2 Christmases I received the worst gifts was....one...A PACKAGE OF HOOKS TO HANG UP MY MOPS AND DUSTMOPS....and two.....SHOWER CURTAIN ROD COVERS!!!! You know...those lovely color coordinated PLASTIC covers that surround the shower curtain rod ........These were from my lovely husband....you may know him as THE ITALIAN version of SCROOGE!!

After we opened all our gifts Christmas Eve this year...he asks me..."sooooo what did I get YOU for Christmas??" I thought about it ....nothing.....

He says....."didnt you get yourself something from me??"  NOPE!!!

He does buy all the girls a box of candy....I told him I really didnt want any this year....I am trying to be good....sooooo.....all the girls get their box....our only daughter says...."didnt you get your dtr any??" He goofed and put my name on the box and so she ended up not getting one.

AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

They keep calling and hanging up. I googled the phone number and there is a place to fill in to add to the people being called by this number.

It will ring a few times....i get to it and it hangs up...or will ring just enough to register on the caller ID. It mentions something like Minex???

As you can see friom my bio, I am an SSM employee. The recent disagreement UHC is having with SSM will be hurting a very large portion of our patients, not only at St Joes, soon to be St Clare, but all the the SSM entities.

In the paper today, they mentioned giving Steve Walli a call to express your opinions of the possiblity  that the two may sever ties.

Healthcare coverage is such an important issue in this country and has been for quite some time. This is not a good time for insurance companies to be treating one healtcare institution differently and unfairly to the others with which they do business.

What should we do? Should we talk our employers into going with another insurance carrier with similar benefits, and leave UHC?

What an INCONVENIENCE!!!

My son and his family have UHC...and so does my single daughter, and they use SSM facilities and doctors.

Let's get out there and let UHC know how important the number two healthcare organization is in our area!!

TODAY WHEN DRIVING DOWN REAVIS BARRACKS...WHAT DO I SEE??? A FEMALE OFFICER FROM ST GEORGE, PARKED IN SOMEONES DRIVEWAY...SHE HAD TO BE AROUND 60ISH GIVE OR TAKE A FEW....

HOW IS IT THAT THEY CAN SIT IN SOMEONES DRIVEWAY JUST WAITING TO CATCH SPEEDERS??

AT LEAST SHE WAS ACTUALLY ON THE ST GEORGE SIDE OF THE STREET!!
