A female cop! OMG - is this legal? LOL - well, I think it's great. Now you have someone with more compassion, more common sense, and probably a better style of customer service than prior St. George cop. I have hired many officers in my day and to the few females that were hired - they have been excellent officers.

A police officer can sit on private property if that homeowner gives them permission. If not, then it's trespassing. Most municipalities have rules/regulations pertaining to where they park and shoot radar. We did not favor them sitting in someones driveway.

St. George City Council - I hope that you are cleaning up your act - you've been quite an embarrassment nationally. Maybe this new female cop will help bring a word that hasn't been in your department for years.... INTEGRITY!

cgrimi: Cut the caps - that's yelling in blog terms - just an FYI. Yeah, it probably is a new officer but I do not know Missouri's rules for swearing in officers and if one can work on a temporary basis while in training. In most states, you actually have to be certified to shoot radar. Each gun goes through an annual (sometimes longer) recalibrating test to solidify it's accuracy. Each officer goes through a simple test on how to properly shoot radar (at least in IL).

They need someone to change the way their cops work and deal with the public. Obviously it won't be the mayor (LOL) or the Police Chief since he was that one clown's boss. So, a female law enforcement officer might complete the town.

This community seems awfully small to have their own police force.....no wonder they are corrupt........I guess it's a kick in the gut to be caught.......maybe some undercovers should attend some of their holiday festivities...MAKE THEM ANSWER TO THE BIG GUNS

I work in registration at St Joseph Hosp in Kirkwood. Our hospital will be moving to Fenton the beginning of 2009. The new St Clare will have the newest in medical tehnology, and will focus on best practices and patient satisfaction and care. You can stop by and see our progress at 141 & Bowles Ave. My life is computer, day and night, for play and work. Gunsmoke, the tv show from 1955 to 1975, is my hobby. I have collected over 200 to 300 episodes of the 635 produced, plus the 5 Gunsmoke movies. 85 year old James Arness has a website where he talks to all us fans on a regular basis. But of course, Fox 2 is the best show on TV these days!!
