HOW IS IT THAT THEY CAN SIT IN SOMEONES DRIVEWAY JUST WAITING TO CATCH SPEEDERS??

AT LEAST SHE WAS ACTUALLY ON THE ST GEORGE SIDE OF THE STREET!!

She can sit in my driveway any day she wants, shes doing her job so you go girl.

Since there are always those individuals who feel the need to break the law on a regular basis she wont be having to sit there for too long.

A female cop! OMG - is this legal? LOL - well, I think it's great. Now you have someone with more compassion, more common sense, and probably a better style of customer service than prior St. George cop. I have hired many officers in my day and to the few females that were hired - they have been excellent officers.

A police officer can sit on private property if that homeowner gives them permission. If not, then it's trespassing. Most municipalities have rules/regulations pertaining to where they park and shoot radar. We did not favor them sitting in someones driveway.

St. George City Council - I hope that you are cleaning up your act - you've been quite an embarrassment nationally. Maybe this new female cop will help bring a word that hasn't been in your department for years.... INTEGRITY!

60ish don't make it impossible to still work,,,, Maybe she is nice.... Maybe you want to avoid her like the plaque.... But I'm afraid of Women and the Police so I guess that she'd doubly scare me....lol

LOL - well Mr. Wild - you better watch your speed near St. George or just don't enter the city limits. It sounds like with your luck she'll pull you over!

I knew an officer that was in the 4th precinct and in Affton...he HATED even driving thru St George on his way home from work.
I have nothing against people getting tickets for speeding....but St George is notorious for their way of doing things. When I got off at midnite..I would drive 30 or less whenever I passed their squad car....

I am hoping that the St. George Police Department has also changed their methods of policing. They need to be more proactive and sedate when dealing with citizens. They need to also assume that a camera is filming their every move which might cause them to be more community friendly.

I've lived within less than two miles of the St. George Kangaroo Court since 1982. They've always, always, always been like this. It's nice to see it come to light, but if you've lived in South County for any length of time at all, you know all about St. George (and Bella Villa, too, for that matter). The most law-abiding people in the world who live by it hate to have to drive through there. It used to be even worse, before they had to raise the speed limit up to the same rate as the rest of Reavis Barracks/Mackenzie.

kcpirana, i have lived in the same area since 1976....
it is only 15 mph within the subdivision of st george...almost impossible to abide by...my cousins live in that subdivision.
the turn from reavis at huntingdon used to be 20mph and the officer sat just feet away...

I remember that. I had to learn to drive on that road and my best friend in high school live on the other side of the St. George from me. Just driving through there used to make me angry. LOL

I work in registration at St Joseph Hosp in Kirkwood. Our hospital will be moving to Fenton the beginning of 2009. The new St Clare will have the newest in medical tehnology, and will focus on best practices and patient satisfaction and care. You can stop by and see our progress at 141 & Bowles Ave. My life is computer, day and night, for play and work. Gunsmoke, the tv show from 1955 to 1975, is my hobby. I have collected over 200 to 300 episodes of the 635 produced, plus the 5 Gunsmoke movies. 85 year old James Arness has a website where he talks to all us fans on a regular basis. But of course, Fox 2 is the best show on TV these days!!
