catfish1976's Blog

This blog is dedicated to my late wife Debra, who passed away 1 year ago Aug.29, 2007.  Debra was a lung transplant recipient who was doing so well, then when she was due to celebrate her 5th year as a recipient, she went into total lung rejection.

If anyone out in Blog Land would like to put pics of their late loved ones, be my guest.  I will be having another blog in Sept., to celebrate Debra's  birthday.

Inside the blog, I will have several pics of Debra celebrating her life after her transplant.
She wanted to live like she never lived before.

One way to kill the boredom on a summer day.

Debra with her favorite pet. Rudy, the SQUIRREL.
Yes, she had a squirrel for a pet, as a matter of fact, we raised 5 of them in the house. Rudy was finally let loose a year before Debra passed away.

One year has gone by, but you are always in my heart.

GOD"S Garden Must Be Beautiful

God looked around the garden,
and found an empty space.
He looked down upon the earth,
and saw your tired face.
He put his arm around you,
and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
for he only takes the best.
He knew that you were weary,
and he knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never,
be well on earth again.
He saw the roads were getting rough,
and the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyes,
and whispered peace be thine.

But I don't believe we have just one life...I believe there is a much better life waiting for us and I will be with them again; and this time it will be for eternity.

That was the second shaving creme fight the kids had in a few years. So, if you parents are having a sleepover, or the kids are bored, go get a few cans of cheap shaving creme, and let them have some fun. Make sure they don't get sprayed in the eyes. Wash them off with a garden hose when they are done. Also, take some pics or videos. Mom and dad can get in the fun also.

that was really Beautiful Tommy. I Love those songs. They say a LOT! You have a Beautiful Family.
And you are correct; Loved ones should never be forgotten.

Ron may not want me to say this to all of you; but maybe you can help me convince him: He seems to think that I 'mind' that he is doing this; or that he visits Deb's grave; or whatever....but I have told him time and again; I do NOT mind in the least. As a matter of fact; it makes me Love and Respect him all the more for doing it. He should not Ever forget Deb..and he should Always Love her.
Ron says; any other woman would mind him doing this; I don't think so...at least; not me. A Loved one is a Loved one...PERIOD...Always and Forever! And Should Never be forgotten!

As Sue stated, that was a great video of you and your family. Memories live FOREVER.

As soon as I locate a pic of my grandpa and grandma, I will post it. I loved them dearly, and miss them today. I was 9 when grandpa passed, and 11 when grandma passed. My grandpa helped me learn how to fish along with my uncle who is also gone now.
