Yes, you can get rich off of Americans. Just create a book and sell it and buy a diamond with it. Don't worry about the American people who gave you the money and made you rich. Why couldn't he donate that money to United Way, or a Cancer Organization? Anything would of been better, than a slap on the face.
What do you think?

New lay of the land
The country is in a period of transition. A new potentially transformative president is entering the White House, along with increased Democratic majorities in Congress. Class consciousness is deeper and reaches into every section of the working class. A spirit of broad unity is palpable. The ideological environment is infused with progressive, egalitarian, and anti-militarist ideas. Labor and its allies are retrofitting their priorities, message and initiatives to the new political landscape. And millions are ready to energetically back the legislative agenda of the Obama administration. Meanwhile, the Republicans are on the defensive, its grassroots constituency dispirited. And the capitalist class as a whole is adapting to the new terrain of struggle and the collapse of financial markets.
This favorable correlation of class and social forces couldn’t happen at a better time. The challenges facing the new administration are immense. Some are short term; others longer term; some are national in scope; others global. And all are begging for solution.
Sam Webb, National Chair Communist Party USA
Well the Communist Party has thrown off it's shroud of Neutrality that it cloaked itself in during the election. It is now in Celebration mode.......for as Mr. Webb has said....there is a new lay of the land.....and the Future of their utopia of "equality" has never looked brighter.
What some forget is that President Bush has been a very Socialistic President. He has increased Government spending, Social Programs and has Socialized alot of the "Free Market" in leu of this Crisis. Mr Webb understands this, and he understands that our next President plans on building on the Socialist foundation of the Bush Adminsitration and FDR.
Mr. Webb says that their Utopia (Socialism) is not at the door step yet.......but that this election gives the Communist Party a mandate to hopefully influence and encourage the New Adminsitration in their endeavors of Social Justice. That we are indeed on the road to full blown Socialism.....

Republicans are probably feeling queasy this morning after hearing Hillary Clinton accept President-elect Barack Obama's secretary of state nomination.
On the one hand, they pretty well knew it was coming. Rumors had swirled for over a week. It's perhaps comforting to know that a woman can, in fact, attain a high office even though Gov. Sarah Palin didn't. And one of Palin's gubernatorial counterparts, Janet Napolitano of Arizona, will head Homeland Security, putting yet another female at the top of an important political office.
On the other hand, Clinton is just one more addition to an Obama team increasingly composed of people with ties to President Bill Clinton.
RollCall.com, for example, on Oct. 30 described a meeting of Obama's economic team before the election as looking like "a Clinton administration reunion".
Obama said today that Hillary Clinton has a strong work ethic that will serve the U.S. well, that she will "demand respect in every capital" of the world.
That she has a strong work ethic would be hard to dispute. She's transitioned from former first lady to New York senator, and now a prominent defense position.
But though she may be a skilled politician, it's not completely clear how the world, much less the American people, will view Clinton. This, after all, is the person who erroneously said she narrowly escaped sniper fire in Bosnia. An Obama spokesman was later quoted by CNN as saying the account could be tacked onto "a growing list of instances in which Sen. Clinton has exaggerated her role in foreign and domestic policymaking."
Clinton said she misspoke about that. She was in the middle of a heated primary campaign. She could have easily slipped up, as could any other politician.
The broader question, though, is whether the public will give Obama's foreign policy agenda — as funneled through Hillary — the time of day it needs to make positive change in such places as Iraq and Afghanistan.
We at TigersRightPaw want to know what you think. Will Hillary Clinton help or hurt the Obama administration's stated foreign policy goals? Will she help or hurt American foreign policy in general?

Please Mr. President! The other day the President took time from his busy schedule to pardon two turkeys. In that same period of time he could have used his efforts to pardon Compean and Ramos, two Border Agents who have been incarcerated for some time now for shooting and wounding a known drug trafficker in the buttocks. These men have been treated like gangsters and locked up with some of the very people they have arrested. They are now being held in isolation because of threats and beatings. It’s time Mr. President to pardon these men and make damn sure they get their back pay. This whole trial and subsequent hearings have been a sham and you and your staff no it. If anyone should be locked up it’s the Federal Prosecutor that perpetrated this sham.
You have asked and received support from many of us for the war in Iraq. Actually we are embroiled in three wars Mr. President, Iraq, Afghanistan and the war on drugs which we are losing badly. We have documented cases of actual military incursions across our border where the Mexican Soldiers have guarded the escape of drug smugglers even firing their weapons in the process. All this and you let the creep Johnny Sutton keep these two locked up in a living heii. I voted for you twice and I must say I am totally disappointed in your last term. Most of us were so proud of the way you took charge after 9/11 but you have failed badly in all areas of the domestic front. Please Mr. President I beseech you, release these men immediately and remove all stigma from their record. They and their families have suffered greatly at hands of your administration.
I call on every American who reads this to get involved. All you have to do is demand their release. These are not common crooks, they were doing the job they were appointed to do. The fact that the Prosecutor Johnny Sutton gave immunity to this drug smuggler so he could testify against Compean and Ramos, and then this despot turned around and was captured bring more drugs into the country just weeks later, should be lesson enough. I’ll bet Sutton is enjoying his holidays with his family, I don’t know how he could even sleep at night with these two on his conscience. Write to the President from every city in the country, let him know how disgusting this is. If you don’t want to write or don’t have the time, just send him this message:
Mr. President, FREE COMPEAN AND RAMOS, and reinstate them at full pay. They were doing what 90% of Americans asked that they do, protect our borders. There are millions of us watching what you do with them, if you think your legacy is in trouble now, just leave office without this injustice being corrected.
Americans for Justice
just cut this out and mail it to;
PARDON COMPEAN AND RAMOS,
c/o President George W. Bush,

Washington, D.C. 20500
For the sake of justice, please take the time to do this one small thing to right a grievous wrong that has been done.
And that’s my opinion,

This holiday season has surfaced many of organizations with good intentions of helping those who are without. Problem is many many have taken advantage of these "soup kitchens" , "bread lines", and "food Pantries"..Simply because its free.
A local paper has interviewed people who chose to camp out outside the stores on Thursday night. Waiting to get those big purchases on BLACK FRIDAY. They were amazed at how many people admitted to taking advantage of the charities on Wed. and Thursday, to get a free meal. Not because they were in need, but rather, they simply saw opportunity to get something for nothing. Some even laughed that they would rather have a full belly and spend their money at Best buy than at Schnucks.
Where has the pride of Americans gone? Is there no more humbling feeling than to have to accept CHARITY to feed your family? Apparently not anymore.
Where has the idea of being honest with yourself, your fellow man, and the Lord, gone?
Why have the Charities chose not to protect those in need from the Charity Vultures?
If they expect people to give to the "needy" then they, Charities, automatically assume the responsiblity of making sure this DONATED food truely is delivered into the hands of the needy. SO... more can be better served.
Not to those who want their Holiday dinner and eat it too.

I think that it is awful that the president is relaxing all the rules to make companies a lot of money and allowing drilling in the national parks, increasing pollution from the coal powered plants, and protected species endangerment. This will require a lot for the new congress to vote on bills to stop this when they really need to be working to solve the monetary crisis that was caused by deregulation.

Let me preface this by saying I have been blissfully ignorant on what has been going on politically in this country, so if something has happened in that time, I don't know about it.
This whole idea of bailing out the auto industry is just more BS. I was somewhat supportive of that initial 700 billion bailout, because I idiotically thought that maybe the government would do something right for a change. HA! This auto bailout just reeks of idiocy. The auto industry has had this coming. Make a better product, problem solved. There is a reason those foreign cars sell like hotcakes. They are BETTER! Oh, and lets not forget those ownderful unions who are responsible for getting ASSEMBLY LINE workers 30+ dollars an hour. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea? Maybe if the auto industry had grown a pair and said no to that nonsense, they wouldn't be in such a huge mess. Not to say they wouldn't be in a mess at all. . . the crappy product would still be an issue.
Anyways, thats my thoughts. Take them with a spoonful of salt.

Are we next? The terror attack in Mumbai, India has Alqeda written all over it. From the precision timing to the staging itself showed a great deal of planning and Alqeda style training. It’s now time for the government of Pakistan to either ramp up their anti terror program in the mountains, or let us do it for them. No more stalls and sovereignty claims to hold off our bombers. I say flatten the these terrorist hideouts to oblivion. I’m sorry some civilians are going to die but in case you didn’t notice, some died yesterday too, in Mumbai.
What scares the heck out of me is that this whole thing looks like a practice run for a shot here in the States. I have felt for months that it was coming and probably to the West Coast as the major cities there, are so close to the sea. Speedboats could be off loaded from a freighter easily within reach of several major ports. We already know they have people imbedded here in the U.S. so how hard would it be to have a van waiting to whisk them off to any number of hotels or resorts in California, Oregon or Washington. Remember these guys don’t need an exit plan, they are totally prepared to die for the cause.
With the governments criminal lack of attention to either of our borders, leaves other possibilities for penetration, that would have little chance of failure. Somewhere, somehow, we have to get the idea across to these imbeciles in charge, that we need to close our borders. Why can’t they see the handwriting on the wall? The irony of the fact that why we continue to keep Compean and Ramos, the two Border Patrol Agents who tried to help secure our sovereign border in prison, totally escapes me. For all we know we could be letting in hundreds of Alqeda as we speak. I hate to think that the only thing stopping such an attack from Mexican soil, is the corrupt Mexican officials in charge there.
If a similar attack to the one in Mumbai was to happen in San Francisco or Seattle, how long would it take the counter insurgent teams to react? I’ll guaranty you that with the Terrorists desire to kill and their persistence to die for their cause, many would be lost before a reaction could be mounted. Why do we have to wait for it to happen before we clean out their terror camps in Pakistan? We know where the Pakistani nukes are located and we could probably take them out within minutes with a precision attack from the air with cruise missiles and penetrating smart bombs so that can not be the reasoning. I don’t know about you but I am sick of being told that we can’t hit them first for a change. These are not people that we will ever be able to convert to our way of life, or even be able to coexist with.
It’s time to act and act quickly or the next attack just might be right in your neighborhood. First and foremost close our borders to anyone who doesn’t belong here. Secondly give the Pakistani’s a warning through diplomatic channels that they have only a few days to react or we will carry out our own Jihad on the terrorists.
And that’s my opinion,
Don

President Obama promised change and hope. He promised hope and change. He certainly lived up to that promise in the last weeks of the campaign. I hoped President Obama would change and apparently he did a 180 degree change in campaign promises during the last couple of months.
Every other word out of his mouth is tax cut and of course none for the wealthy. The Democratics' term "wealthy" is used to describe prosperity of a person according to a convoluted scale of relativity between the government's need versus the individuals.
A year ago President Obama said all is lost in Iraq pull out immediately . In the last couple months Obama changed to be in favor of the surge and pull out according to conditions on the ground.
I'm confident President Obama has the ability to change like a chameleon ,but, the following people are still in charge of how he changes.
I'm now wondering what "change" NBC and CBS have in mind for Him.
I wonder what "change" Sen.Reid and Rep. Pelossi have for Him.
What "change" do Schumer, Dodd, Franks, and, Kennedy have in store for Him.
The same people who brought down the banking Industry are still in charge. The Reid, Pelossi combo. plus Schumer ,Dodd plus Clinton , Franks. Still regulate the banks and are in charge of oversight in banking.
These people were in charge of President Bush ,and will be in charge of President Obama it Seems.

I think many of us do not have a good grasp of what Thanksgiving should be about. With danger looming around every corner these days, it’s only natural to only think about what is wrong with America and why your wallet is thinner. At this time, I would invite you and all Americans to forget about your material positions, and think about why Thanksgiving is really important.
Of course, money, cars and clothes are nice to have, but can you ever put a price on your family. Thanksgiving is about family. Anyone that tells you different is either lying, or has a huge self-image problem. Thanksgiving is an opportunity to sit at the biggest table you can find, and just soak in the fact that the people you are with make you happy to be alive.
Oh, and what about the small table in the corner of the room. The one with the tiny little chocolate turkeys on it, and the kids who started eating before saying grace. That’s right, the little kids table. If at any point you lose sight of the meaning of Thanksgiving, glance over at all those smiling children, and you will see that they are not thinking about material possessions. No, in fact, they are just happy to be in such a celebratory moment.
For a moment, think about what it would be like if you only cared about material possessions and never had a family to turn to. Will your sweet new ride be able to console you when something bad happens? Will your pocket full of cash give you a sense that you are not alone in this world? Will your designer jeans keep up a good conversation with you?
This Thanksgiving, think about the loved ones you have lost. Think about the pain you felt the day you found out they had passed, and tell me if losing any material position ever came close to touching that moment. Now, think about the opportunity you have. Talk with your family and turn the TV off. It doesn’t matter if the Cowboys win, what matters is that your family is the only thing worth living for. You see, Thanksgiving is not about quantity. It’s about quality.

Hey dad, can you hear me?
I wish I could still talk to my father. He and his generation experienced so much in their lifetime, that is the experience that is missing from our generation and from our leadership in general. The Great Depression of the twenty’s and thirties was at least 100 times worse than we have faced. Dad and his fellow blue collar workers traveled great distances to find a scrap of employment. While white collar workers were jumping out of windows my dad was building Coulee Dam. There was no bailout for them nor was there any welfare for he and my mother to fall back on. It changed people for life, as I have stated in earlier blogs, he never trusted the banks again until he was well into his 50’s.
Most people survived this period or should I say endured this era. The same generation went into World War II within a few years of the depression. Talk about having it rough, they fought their way through Europe and the Pacific Islands only to come home for three years and then off to Korea. Did I mention that many of the older ones were involved in World War I before the depression? When people of knowledge mention the Greatest Generation, they are referring to these men and women who through their grit and determination went on to build the greatest nation the world has ever seen. The strongest economy, the strongest military and the most resilient people that ever populated a continent. It has taken our generation just 40 years to destroy all that they had built.
I blame my father’s bunch for making life too easy for us. They didn’t want their children to suffer as they did. Commendable yes, smart no. We weren’t prepared to face the world as they were. We didn’t have the grit nor the backbone and we constantly proved it by just throwing money at whatever problems that may come up. There were no cures for economic problems, that would have been too cruel to those who failed to measure up. If we didn’t take care of them who would? We have in this generation created a welfare state that has destroyed the work ethic of America. Now we are expanding that welfare State by a bail out here and a bail out there, to the point that no one is taking responsibility for their own actions.
Life’s tough sometimes and that means the tough have to step up and take charge. We must learn the word no, it seems to have escaped from our vocabulary and is the missing element in our world today. If we continue down this path we will by the end of the next decade be totally at the mercy of stronger nations. We mock the civil rights in China, yet they are the ones who through grit and determination will be the conquers of the future. Yes they are cruel masters of their own people, yet they have built a strong nation both economically and militarily. They have responded our criticism with disdain, they have seen what our ways have done to weaken or resolve and ability to lead the world. I do not suggest that we become like China, I do propose we start becoming more conservative in our response to critical matters. Throwing money at everything has proven to be the wrong way. We can start by teaching our children that life is not always a bowl of cherries and sometimes they will lose. We have created a generation of people who think it’s okay to lose and just turn the other cheek and everything will be fine. Where has this approach gotten us so far? We sure as heck won’t ever be known as the Greatest Generation as it stands now.
And that’s my opinion,
Don

about the disintegration of this country. It's happening right before our eyes. I think the Russians will play hell trying to reclaim Alaska however. Good riddance.
http://www.drudgereport.com/flashrur.htmRUSSIAN ANALYST PREDICTS DECLINE AND BREAKUP OF USA
Tue Nov 25 2008 09:04:22 ET
A leading Russian political analyst has said the economic turmoil in
the United States has confirmed his long-held view that the country is
heading for collapse, and will divide into separate parts.
Professor Igor Panarin said in an interview with the respected daily
IZVESTIA published on Monday: "The dollar is not secured by anything.
The country's foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though in
the early 1980s there was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my
prediction, it had exceeded $2 trillion. Now it is more than 11
trillion. This is a pyramid that can only collapse."
The paper said Panarin's dire predictions for the U.S. economy,
initially made at an international conference in Australia 10 years ago
at a time when the economy appeared strong, have been given more
credence by this year's events.
When asked when the U.S. economy would collapse, Panarin said: "It is
already collapsing. Due to the financial crisis, three of the largest
and oldest five banks on Wall Street have already ceased to exist, and
two are barely surviving. Their losses are the biggest in history. Now
what we will see is a change in the regulatory system on a global
financial scale: America will no longer be the world's financial
regulator."
When asked who would replace the U.S. in regulating world markets, he
said: "Two countries could assume this role: China, with its vast
reserves, and Russia, which could play the role of a regulator in
Eurasia."
Asked why he expected the U.S. to break up into separate parts, he
said: "A whole range of reasons. Firstly, the financial problems in the
U.S. will get worse. Millions of citizens there have lost their
savings. Prices and unemployment are on the rise. General Motors and
Ford are on the verge of collapse, and this means that whole cities
will be left without work. Governors are already insistently demanding
money from the federal center. Dissatisfaction is growing, and at the
moment it is only being held back by the elections and the hope that
Obama can work miracles. But by spring, it will be clear that there are
no miracles."
He also cited the "vulnerable political setup", "lack of unified
national laws", and "divisions among the elite, which have become clear
in these crisis conditions."
He predicted that the U.S. will break up into six parts - the Pacific
coast, with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its
Hispanics; Texas, where independence movements are on the rise; the
Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the
poorer central states with their large Native American populations; and
the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong.
He even suggested that "we could claim Alaska - it was only granted on
lease, after all." Panarin, 60, is a professor at the Diplomatic
Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has authored
several books on information warfare.

My Editorial Writing professor, Mr. Bentley, had us write about Thanksgiving for class last Wednesday. So, in the spirit of the holiday, here’s my Thanksgiving editorial…
One of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving, is coming up next week, and I hear too many people saying there’s nothing to celebrate due to all of America’s problems. This is outrageous.
There are so many things like beauty and laughter and resilience and determination that are worth celebrating. As long as people dream and hope and breathe, and chase these dreams with courage, we have reason to celebrate. Things can always get better.
There are so many great things to be thankful for that are not affected by our sagging economy or a world that can’t stop fighting. We still have amazing freedom and prosperity in America. We have the love of friends and family, and the joy of young people finding real love. We have the sharing of stories and experiences with good friends. We have people struggling for noble causes. We have good music and food and writing and sports and on and on.
You see, optimism is the best way to live. The optimist recognizes life’s sad realities, but realizes that they give us the ability to see the good things in contrast and to overcome. Like Dickinson wrote, “We never know how high we are, till we are called to rise.” The optimist sees how much good exists in the world, and how good things can be.
My simple writing can’t express all that each of us has to be thankful for. Each of us has unique, wonderful things in our lives to celebrate. We each have our own ways in which we can see the sublime beauty of life.
Simply put, each day of life is a gift from God and worth celebrating. Each day is a chance to laugh, cry, grow, mature, learn, and dream. This side of heaven, things won’t be perfect. But God has given us plenty to be grateful for. He’s big on things like redemption, making things new, and living more abundantly.
Celebrating Thanksgiving is a fine way to start living more abundantly.

In electing Barry Obama, Americans have bought a slogan, a mantra, and in return got an empty suit.
Real change requires two things: knowledge and guts. The knowledge to know what needs to be done, and the courage to do it.
Obama has neither, certainly not the knowledge. Hillary Clinton has both.
Americans probably would have gotten more change with John McCain and Eskimo Sarah than they will with Obama and tied-to-the-old politics Joe Biden.
Extreme conservative talk show host Michael Savage said recently it appears we may have gotten the conservative we wanted when we elected George Bush in Obama, judging by recent appointments. Obama has no real power, nor is he likely to garner much, except likely a personal popularity with Americans. He's a likeable guy -- anyone who enjoys pickup baseketball games can't be too bad.
Besides, Washington corporate interests have already stolen any impetus he might have brought to D.C. with the drummed up fiscal crisis. With the billions a weak Congress has already handed over to corporate interests, this is a behind the scenes coup-de-tat of epic proportions, orchestrated by very powerful big money interests.
A big powerful corporate interests nexus won't have to assassinate this president to maintain their power.
They've already stolen the White House before the president-elect could take the oath of office.
