If you have been watched the price of gas at the pumps lately, you will see that it just keeps going up.

A local church with the vision to see global impact is hosting a gas buy down.  They wanted to do something to help their community.

If you live in or around Rolla, Mo. You will want to come to Mobile on the Run on Hwy 63, Friday April 25th starting at 3pm. CLC will not only be there to pump your gas for you but they are paying for 20 cents for every gallon.

How much of your "energy" drink would it take to kill you? I found this site among others in my search to find out about Energy Drinks. Obvisously they aren't healthy, but what is the harm. Check out the following sites.

Every where I go I see pre teens and teens drinking beverages such as RedBull, Full Throttle, Monster, RockStar and others. It just freaks me out that kids are drinking these. They are loaded with Ephedrin, 80 plus miligrams of Caffeine and other legal stimulants.

EPHEDRIN has led to heart attacks. I can't imagine the damage that this is causing. I would love for the morning show to ASK Dr. Hollar what he has seen or thinks about kiddos drinking this stuff.

First they need to put up a politics category. Although, (tongue in cheek) I would rarely comment, politics get to heated. I would read it like crazy, but I stay out of arguments that I can't change. I guess while I am asking for things; I will add spell check to the list.

I am just wondering who knows that the voting age is 18? If you are 18 or above do you vote? Also, if you are 18 or above do you do research on the candidates and their issues? Are you an informed voter or do you guess, or make neat designs with your ballot?

I guess what got me thinking about this was the banner ad that says You Decide 2008. I thought about the last election for the county. I stood in line for an hour to vote. While in line I thought about all I had read about on the issues, propositions and candidates. I felt really informed. You may remember that the stem cell issue was the "hot" issue. (All the commercials. I am so not ready for the mud slinging.) While in line there was a girl in front of me I will guess early 20's, she didn't care about any of it. I kept thinking, why are you here? Then the lady behind me says, she just cancelled out "your" vote, implying that she wasn't serious, it was a game and that none of the issues mattered to her. I guess you had to be there to hear the whole conversation. You know I still believe that everyone counts, your vote matters. One voice can make a difference. I was also suprised that there were propositions on the ballet that I hadn't heard anything about. I read them right before going in to vote.

I hope that everyone gets out and votes this upcoming year. I also hope that you inform yourself and go ready. I hope that this was more than ramblings and that you will respond. Do you vote? Do you like or dislike polotics? Do you vote according to party?

Leave me a comment and keep the peace!

The year was 1987, the month October...

It is so funny how some things never leave your memory. The story that I am about to share is etched forever in my memory. I was just thinking about this little girl and wondering about her story. I even asked POB if there was a video archive that I could go through to find the story.

I was almost 15 years old. I was dating a boy originally from Texas. His mom was like a mother to me. We were sitting at his house about a block from mine in Arnold,  watching tv when an emergency update came acroos the screen. A baby less tthan two years old trapped in a well in Texas. Of course this captivated Darla and I too was glued to the screen for a few days. I was on my e-mail page a moment ago and low and behold there was Baby Jessica, now 20 years older. It made me feel old at first. Then I was so happy to hear that she is doing well, no pun intended.  It was good to see a miracle. Does anyone else remember this story? She truly became everybody's baby.

I know that this is a competitor of FOX but the story was a good one if you want an update on Jessica.

After Tim E being on tv this morning with a vale on and my own wedding anniversary coming tomorrow, I thought I would write a blog and ask...how long have you been married, how long did you date before marriage, what have you done on your anniversary?

I just really want to hear your stories...all girls want to talk about their dress and that day...I may even share via video my vale catching on fire....haha we all have a story to tell what's yours?

Guys not to leave you out....what did you think about your bride as she walked down the aisle, did you leave before midnight and then not see her again until she walked the aisle?
